  1. Happy to wait. Knowing the effort you guys put in, happy knowing they will be stunning.
  2. Paddy Murphy has achieved the impossible with significant financial risk to himself. Having to spread out production over years with coaches and locomotives arriving in different years he had to rely on the hope that buyers would hang-in there to build their collections. We did and were rewarded with quality and levels of detail that put the big producers to shame. His original cooperation with Llma and Bachman proved that demand existed. Lima's willingness to do short runs was the start of an economic model that demonstrated the viability of meeting that demand. Paddy has single-handedly changed the modelling scene in Ireland working with modellers at shows to perfect his models using the best technology available, even risking production in the emerging Chinese manufacturing centres to maximise the quality / price equation. Paddy, thank you for all you have done, the chances you have taken and the joy you have given to so many of us. You created the new era of the rivet counter in terms of Irish railway modelling feeding the need for accuracy and well running models. These will be sought after for years to come and rightly so.
  3. Murphy Models B141 for sale https://www.adverts.ie/toy-cars-trains-boats-planes/murphy-models-bachmann-b141/21526927 165.00
  4. Hi guys, I am looking for a copy of a Class 121 in grey livery on the bridge in Kilmacthomas pulling a short goods train. Can't find it in my archives and it's really annoying me. Would any of you have a copy?
  5. You need to be logged in I believe
  6. You can see why one might be a little confused. Just to confirm the van has now been ruled out? And was ruled out before the release of the excellent weed spraying wagons?
  7. Given how well the weed sprayers are going, would it possible for the guys at IRM to see how many of us would be willing to commit to the weed sprayer van at differing price levels? Perhaps: 150 160 175 185 200 At least then there would be more of an idea of the feasibility of a production run.
  8. If there is going to be announcement to include the beet wagons, I would hope there could be weathered ones. The beet trains around Wexford and Waterford were such a part of the railway year and each train had so many wagons! Perhaps they could be done in packs of five? Or maybe the one pack a wagon with warning lamps?
  9. Would love a mk 3 rake especially if lit.
  10. Fran, I'm just saying as a loyal purchaser as you can see from my orders, I'm simply saying completeness is important to me and I believe others. We are all addicted to the level of detail you guys have consistently delivered and having seen the Silverfox model it is nowhere near IRM quality, they are not comparable. If you can deliver a van then great, I'm in. Just my preference.
  11. Agreed, it would be nice to provide feedback and questions as part of the development process. The knowledge of the community is a differentiating factor for IRM I think and should be leveraged. It makes IRM models different from other manufacturers. Would have welcomed the chance to say I would be reticent to buy without the van being available also. As a collector rather than a modeller, not being able to complete a set is a major issue. For example the lack of extra unpowered wagons for the auto ballasters from Marks still annoys me. And before you say it, yes, I know OCD, first world problem.
  12. Yeah will have to wait and see the final model first hand. Settling for coloured plastic rather than a top quality spray coat would be disappointing but unfortunately it has happened before as with the super train MK2s. Just could not bring myself to spend the money.
  13. Really great news. Worth mentioning the Heritage centre is a charity, gives people more confidence in donating I believe. What's the best way to donate?
  14. Far too big for the line, would not get past the platforms or around the curves under the bridge.
  15. Will this be cosmetic only?
  16. I agree, a run of super train (but with better paint work) and the IR would be great. The super train relying on the plastic for that unique colour finish rather than a neutral plastic and a high quality paint finish is what let it down in my view. They looked more toy like especially when compared to the wonderful cravens.
  17. Any chance of having the lamps functioning?
  18. Hi guys, Am stripping back a level crossing lamp. Years of paint and grime. Any idea what red paint was used on these cast metal lamp boxes?
  19. It was a fine livery. Probably best achieved through a good quality paint finish than trying to get a plastic to match the colour
  20. How many wagons would have formed a standard rake? Was there minimum / maximum number?
  21. I would happily start saving now if they were being planned.
