  1. I was watching some footage of the last days of beet traffic and looking through some pics and thought to myself that with the flats being produced and with IRM working with CRail would it be possible to see this being considered in the future. Rich,

    IRM Fert Wagon

Dedication Fran, a dedication to be the best and produce the best. It's great as modeller to be there from the start. There's so much more to come in the future also. Rich,

    IRM Fert Wagon

I love it Fran, is Richie after getting out in the sun yet. Rich,

    IRM Weedsprayer

Cheers Fran for the update it's always appreciated to see the development progress. C'ant wait for these. The MK1 van definitely needs to be produced to finish off a legendary prototype train and quite possibly the model to beat all models. And for god's sake let Richie out of the room I'll even supply pints for him myself. Rich
  5. That's a class 150 chassis. It's either a first release or upgraded chassis. My guess would be that it is from the original 150 releases. Rich.

    IRM Fert Wagon

Wow these will be special judging from the CAD. There is a lot of detail in these wagons and there must have been a lot of head scratching and late nights at the designing stage. As seems to be the norm the let's make this one the new benchmark will succeed. Rich
  7. Looks just as promising as I thought it would. The real deal will be another top model. I love the tail lamps it will be a really cool feature. Once more thanks men it is as always hugely appreciated. Rich,
  8. My in laws back garden looks right down on the Barrow Bridge it's hard to take as an enthusiast how little this bridge and this line has been used over the last few years. To say that the weed sprayer was the last train is very sad. I was lucky enough to have taken a walk along the bridge (with permission) and it is a fantastic structure. Rich,
  9. A great choice men. Definitely going to be a winner. Rich,
  10. I like it men, all of the subtleties of the prototype captured excellently. It really has the wow factor when you see a decorated model. All the research all the graft all the late nights working and giving everything to make sure that the end product is not a top model but the top model. All the hard work is as always hugely appreciated men. Rich,.
  11. I'm really looking forward to these. I've always loved the per way stock. Great to see that the sales are so positive, but not surprising. Rich,

    RIP Jim Bayle

Very sad news. A lovely man condolences to his family. He will be fondly remembered. Rich.
  13. Another milestone reached again men, truly happy for all concerned can see lot's of awards in the near future. Rich,
  14. Very nice Fran it's good to see that things are so advanced. Got my Scalefour news today through the letterbox it's good to see the HUO pre prod model getting a positive write up. Rich,
  15. I've heard great things about this layout and seeing the pics confirms how amazing it is. It's refreshing to see s model in an urban setting especially when it is modelled on a prototypical location. It has all the hallmarks of being great it is that amazing. Rich,
  16. If it has to be the van then it has to be the van Pat. Just make sure the tv is an old school tv and not a flat screen job it just won't go off the same way when it hits the ground, and make sure you book out the whole top floor of the hotel. Rich,
  17. Keith Moon and John Bonham rolled into one Pat. Ditch the van it will only have any credibility if it's a Roller. Rich,
  18. Ordered mine and can't wait. It is extraordinary that a wagon which so few of were built will be recreated in model form. Reasonable price as well when you factor in the specs and small numbers being produced. An all round winner. Rich,
  19. It's a really fantastic model men it's going to be a huge success. Rich,
  20. It's always nice to see the model as it develops especially at this stage as you know that the FP model is getting closer. What continues to amaze me is the amount of hard graft that the lad's are putting into both IRM and Accurascale and the continuing standards of excellence of the models. Back to the sample above it's a winner already and surely the bar is raised again. Rich,
  21. I was at a Scalefourum Seamus and a layout had stock with sprung buffers. They had Markits brass sprung buffers fitted to MK1's and wizard models fitted to wagons. It looked amazing when shunting . Just imagine having to back up a set of Tara's or Ferts buffer to buffer and you will start to come around to the idea. On the real wagons they rarely touched buffer to buffer running forwards. It is a nice touch and as Stephen has said if it isn't costing anymore than standard fixed buffers then it's a win win. The SLW class 24 is fitted with a prototypical working set of sprung buffers. Rich ,
  22. To be honest Seamus I've seen lads in the scale four society using sprung buffers to great effect in both pushing and forward modes, when it's done right it looks mighty effective. I suppose it comes down to what type of operational movement one likes. Rich,
  23. Screaming Lord Sutch comes to mind . Rich,
  24. The underframe detail looks sweet men, the vac chambers, the pipe work, brake gear and I love the springs. It really captures the bulk of the prototype. I love the bogies and the rotating axles. Provision also for 21mm. Delighted that sprung buffers are included. I don't think that I have seen a bogie wagon of that quality at that price from any manufacturer. It's a first for models in 00 especially when you look at the price that the Hornby Biomass wagons were selling for. The bar is raised again and I can see myself saying that for future releases also. Rich,
  25. Smashing Eoin what amazing beasts these locos were. Rich,
