  1. Sorry to hear the bad news Leslie, get well soon. Rich,
  2. I brush on microset and set the decal on that area. Use micro sol straight away by brushing on to the decal if it is going on an uneven surface. The micro sol will make the decal curl up but over the next 24 hours it will soften the decal and it will set into ridges and recessess such as between planks on a wagon like the one in your picture. I have used decals that are a couple of years old using this method and never had any problems. HTH Rich,
  3. Don't be disappointed men these things happen it's nothing but bad luck due to a natural disaster. The fact you have found a resolution to the logistics side of things shows how much work as been going on in the background and at all hours of the day and night. As has been said before we appreciate the hard work. Rich,
  4. Gave my vote and I am confident you boys will win. So confident I'll even bet your house on it Fran. Rich,
  5. Thanks Fran things like this can't be helped. They get here when they get here life is more important. Rich,
  6. Okay so the length of the model is a contributory factor thus affecting modelers with certain radius layout curves. I'm sure that must have really worried Hornby and Bachmann with their class 60 and 66 models. Hattons will be bricking it if they read that quote, now that they are producing a 66. Rich,
  7. It's always made me laugh how much scorn is levelled at the Lima 201 model. I can clearly understand the sentiment about the price the seller has listed the model for and it is hugely overpriced. But one of the descriptions of the model is a bit snidey when you consider how some folks have been extolling other manufactuers products that in some cases are completely fictitious and seriously overpriced . Without the Lima 201 would we be in the current climate of fantastic loco coach and wagon models we have today, I doubt it. As an aside I do believe that the shade of orange on the Lima 201 is a lot closer to the shade of the prototype then it is on the MM original 201 as delivered livery. Rich,
  8. I'll be investing men. It's a nice touch and should make operating more interesting and cool at the same time. Rich
  9. This layout belongs in the epic category. You don't see many urban scenes like this. I always thought Nigel Burkins Platform 4a and 4b (although smaller than Barrow street) was a great piece of modern urban modelling and this is right up there with it. Rich,
  10. Thanks for the update Fran. I actually can't wait for these especially the rotating axle caps. Rich.
  11. Excellent news Fran can't wait. The packaging looks as good as ever, do you feel the love Pat. Thanks for the update Fran. Rich,
  12. Agree with the above SSM kits are quality when built right. Rich,
  13. That's no time to wait Fran. They look great. Still a lot of nice details to be fitted and the hoods. Every time a new model appears it tops the previous one, these won't hold the title for long. Having said that they are all top models.. Rich,

    IRM Fert Wagon

It's appreciated down this way Richie and always will be. Rich,
  16. I was watching some footage of the last days of beet traffic and looking through some pics and thought to myself that with the flats being produced and with IRM working with CRail would it be possible to see this being considered in the future. Rich,

    IRM Fert Wagon

Dedication Fran, a dedication to be the best and produce the best. It's great as modeller to be there from the start. There's so much more to come in the future also. Rich,

    IRM Weedsprayer

Cheers Fran for the update it's always appreciated to see the development progress. C'ant wait for these. The MK1 van definitely needs to be produced to finish off a legendary prototype train and quite possibly the model to beat all models. And for god's sake let Richie out of the room I'll even supply pints for him myself. Rich
  20. That's a class 150 chassis. It's either a first release or upgraded chassis. My guess would be that it is from the original 150 releases. Rich.

    IRM Fert Wagon

Wow these will be special judging from the CAD. There is a lot of detail in these wagons and there must have been a lot of head scratching and late nights at the designing stage. As seems to be the norm the let's make this one the new benchmark will succeed. Rich
  22. Looks just as promising as I thought it would. The real deal will be another top model. I love the tail lamps it will be a really cool feature. Once more thanks men it is as always hugely appreciated. Rich,
  23. My in laws back garden looks right down on the Barrow Bridge it's hard to take as an enthusiast how little this bridge and this line has been used over the last few years. To say that the weed sprayer was the last train is very sad. I was lucky enough to have taken a walk along the bridge (with permission) and it is a fantastic structure. Rich,
  24. A great choice men. Definitely going to be a winner. Rich,
