Dave you are being very modest. You're wagons show the effort it has taken to build them and thank you very much for posting them. They look great. Rich,

GM there was a rake parked up in Waterford East behind the flour mills 5 or 6 years ago but they were withdrawn earlier. There should be dates on the photos I took many years ago so at least it will give an accurate timeframe of when they were running. I have no doubt that one of our members will come up with a more definitive answer in the meantime. Rich,

You're very welcome Finnyus. They are superb photos and the London photos are very nostalgic. They capture a moment of history and if no one does it, then we have no history. Great stuff. Rich, -
Eamonn any chance you could, with Davids permission pm me some of those photos as photos of that area are few and far between in my collection. Rich,

If you think that you can rework the back drop to a better standard Patrick it says a lot about the quality of your work. Everything else of course looks fabulous also. Rich,

I took some photos of them in Waterford West many years ago Rob. They were taken pre digital era. I will fish them out over the next few days and pm you for address details. I'll post some to you then. I may even still have the negatives if you want to have any resized. Rich,

Great pics as usual. I love the orange and black door on 072. Is it from a 141-181. Rich, -

It is of great interest and is historical fact. Thank you very much for taking the time to compile and post this. You are a library of information, you're presence and willingness to share it here is hugely appreciated. Even a lot of the rolling stock that was on the network 5 years ago is consigned to history now. Historical fact like this is priceless in this hobby, and plays a huge roll in the grand scheme of things. I hope this encourages more people to photograph anything railway related and make notes because the hobby can't survive without it in the long run. Superb stuff and thank you once again. Rich, -
I think all we need now Noel is someone to invent a device that gives off the whiff of diesel. I love the generator van by the way. Rich,

Forget the pressure, take some time out and play trains. If you get a chance some video of the sound fitted loco in service would be very much appreciated. The leveling feet on the baseboards are an essential for good running and Dave's work is stunning. You're a lucky boy. Rich,

Some amazing photos Finnyus. I have spent many an evening looking through you're collection. I love the pics of Elephant and Castle tube station in the collection. I used it frequently when I was south of the river in London on the Bakerloo line. Rich, -

Beet wagons, what colour were they?

Rob I hope these will be of some use. Earthy colors dry brushed on give a very nice representation of a well worked Beet wagon. Think of the effects of the sun and the loading of the Beet and it should give you a more work a day look. Rich, -
I didn't see your post Seamus as I was compiling my own and putting up the Christmas tree at the same time so apologies for duplication, but we obviously have the same train of thought on this subject. Rich,

Could I make a suggestion Stephen. Richie has done a fabulous job on a lot of the structures. It may be worth finishing the decorative part of the viaduct in a similar fashion and thus keeping it in appearance with the rest of the structures on the layout. Hat's off to Dave for his amazing woodwork it is something special to behold. Rich,

Pat first of all congratulations on a great report. It must have been a sad day for those serving in the Brigade. What a historical event but very little known of it. General Ahearn's speech was very poignant. It was obviously heart wrenching for the Brigade. Rolling up the flag and the lights out salute at the end were very moving also. You know I have a big interest in the Military Pat and thanks for sharing this. Rich,

I love Tara Junction Noel. It is so busy being a bustling railway with so many diverse trains running. It is an operators heaven and it is what modelling is all about having a great time recreating life. There are some fabulous layouts posted here and it is inspiring stuff for both new and current modellers. All I need now is the shed built as seeing Tara Junction brings home exactly what I am missing. Rich,

I'm counting the minutes Stephen. These are going to be a landmark model, and will be simply amazing judging from the pics I have seen so far. Rich,

There is no doubt that having fitted that many models with sound you know what you are talking about Rob. I've watched the videos that the lads have posted here of their sound fitted locos and it does add a huge dimension to modelling. Sometimes it's hard to gauge a sound on a laptop with basic speakers but they do sound fantastic. Very few locos have a roar like the 071's and the lads have captured the sound to a tee. Rich, -

Rob that sounds (excuse the pun) pretty conclusive for anyone thinking about going down the sound route. Have fun with it and well down to Gareth and co for bringing it to the market. Rich, -
That sounds good, hopefully we will see 230 also. 220 and 230 were at the top of the list for me 201 wise so at least I'm halfway there. Rich,
