  1. Three of the finest. And they all sound different from each other!
  2. Some rare footage has been unearthed, of a GNR train arriving at Clogherhead. 64.mp4
  3. A few video clips from today's workings at Clogherhead. Those seagulls are very noisy. Clogherhead.mp4
  4. Yes - acceptable to me as a reasonably accurate representation of elderly GNR(I) carriages Thank you Leslie!
  5. A few photos from a very enjoyable and long overdue running session today on Clogherhead. Video clips coming later. Special thanks to Alan @Tullygrainey for coming along to help!
  6. The latest in my ‘Late Night Scratchbuild’ series….. I thought if the original GNR sand office wasn’t fit for purpose, but the sand traffic had to continue, then surely they would’ve provided a Portakabin….. And yes, it has a fully detailed interior…..
  7. My late night scratch built picnic benches are now in place on the flat area in front of the tea room. Pity it’s closed…….
  8. Yes, and maybe it shouldn’t be boxed into this thread
  9. Possibly, but it would be no picnic
  10. Just realised this should have gone in my Clogherhead thread
  11. Some sneaky late night scratchbuilding…… two rickety looking picnic benches knocked up from the sprues of a now-built SMS laser cut product! These will be suitably weathered and placed on the flat area outside the derelict tea room.
  12. Here you go Alan! A show of USA firepower coming to BHM very soon…… with no doubt a healthy serving of insanity too……
  13. Tearoom now in place - still some landscaping needed.
  14. Clogherhead station this evening.
  15. Now that is a treat to watch and the U back scene sets it off perfectly, stroke of genius there GM!! Lovely loco and carriage too!
  16. Had to Google that one........
  17. All superb models - would slot in very nicely at Brookhall Mill........
  18. Look out for more posts After Eight tonight.
  19. Glad to get it wrapped up though
  20. I was worried in case I was getting a bit toffee-nosed…..
  21. So it turns out that the new style of paper on the Quality Street sweets works a treat for what I was trying to achieve! As I had hoped, it helps to dull down the brightness of these lights, and also adds the distinctive sodium glare:
  22. I knew this would ignite something for sure
  23. Not railway-related but of interest......poor guy! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-68226509 Got to be some puns in this....
  24. Yeah saw that but am hoping the thicker paper will help tone down the brightness (a cheap resistor!) as well as give the orange 'sodium' glare....... will be checking this later
