    MK3 Scrapping

Hear Hear! It's a crying shame they decided to replace comfortable, world class coaches with plastic boxes for no apparent reason other than spending money at the time.

  4. I'm hoping that I can get the retaining wall, some grass, etc, on the incline done, and maybe a backscene behind it, which will give me the start of something scenic to look at
  5. What a gorgeous noise!
  6. Massively overdue for an update, I've not that much to report unfortunately! In nor particular order, the retaining wall at Blackrock Junction has been primed, the viaduct too (though will some filler and a respray to even temporarily pass as concrete). The incline to the Crossstairs bridge has been balasted and the start of the wall made (wall on the left horizontal!). I also painted (first attempt) the plaster tunnel mouth. The last few times upstairs I've been busy trying to clean and clear and remove stock, so I can get the overhead lighting, point motors and wiring finished!

  13. Congratulations Eoin - it's looking well and I can't wait for the glazed version! I've a huge amount of respect for you - both for the way you've gotten out there and taken a model to the market and the way you've taken the criticism and built on it!
  14. Lovely composition Anthony.
  15. Lol, Bravery medal is right
  16. 'Best guess' will be hopefully this time next year. The 201 and 071 a will need to sell really well first.
  17. Welcome to the site! If you read the full threads you'll see that the constructive criticism has ensured the models evolution into something truley stunning, and worth buying I am sure even Eoin is not unhappy with it, and indeed has met many of the posters in person at various events.
