  1. Believe is or not the flats are flat, 2d printouts wrapped around some thick card ! Richie has a long and ever lengthening list in progress for me Not least of which is the entire massive structure, overroof, platforms, canopies and buildings of the terminus itself
  2. Was thinking a burnt out car allright Might be a step too far
  3. Better shot, plan is to add some standing out estate agents signs to the walls too, and some sky dishes, overflowing bins, etc - lots of urban neglect and decay, with filthy trains rumblin past in the foreground
  4. A better overview of the 'plonking' To the right will be the retaining walls of the terminus, to the left a girder bridge and the foreground will be wasteland
  5. Job courtesy of Seamus Grahams - and I have to say, she's growing on me something fierce :) Next up and very rough 'plonk' mockup of what is planned to be a very neglected backstreet behind the terminus building... The flats on the left will be cordoned off and the builders in ripping them apart... Need to find a dirty, urban backscene
  6. Well, almost 8 weeks later and sneaking to the attic for 2 minutes is almost possible again! That said, it was purely to witness abcdefghijklmnopqrstuv-078 cross the viaduct with a wagon transfer!
  7. so.... about those NIR coaches? ;)

  14. The beautiful station (from the Road side) (Photo from Wikipedia)
  15. What a stunningly beautiful terminus and trackplan! What a beauty she'd be to model! Saw mill tramway, goods, turntable - wow! Any more photos!?
  16. As long as the photos are 2mb or less they should upload here fine
  17. Glad I'm not alone
  18. Is it just me, or was use of the wash more frequent in IR days? The locos look much more pristine in those days (rose tinted glasses perhaps)
  19. Hey Finbarr, You are very welcome indeed to the site! When you say novice Where are you starting from? Have you any stock at all? A controller / trainset? Or literally starting from scratch?
  20. It's our solemn duty as modellers to recreate and preserve such scenes!
  21. Is it bad I can't even see what numbers are on those models!!
  22. That scary> Dammit but it does look odd, and odd is good
