Cheers lads - I'll try to post photos as I get jobs done - have another bunch of soldering and under board work with the motors to do, but I'll hopefully be able to use routes and actually shunt the yards and terminus very soon!
-
God, people are dumb!!!!
-
A bit of variety is as good as a holiday I'm hoping to get some detailing added to the terminus and the platforms bedded down and the Shed roads laid and wired this week. All credit to Glenderg for the platforms - absolute stunners as always :)
-
Was only watching it last night - I also watched Al Mayo's one using Woodland Scenics 'smooth it' - I might give both options a try in different areas and see how they go!
-
Stock variety is one of my vices I've a huge BR blue collection, lots of LMS steamers, some TGV's, many boxes of Thomas and friends .... :) I want to clean and paint the platform gaps, and level them off nicely to set them off right, then might even look at ballast / concreting in the terminus roads so I can bed the platforms in properly

lol nice one I turned my back today for a minute and platforms appeared!! Only 'plonked' at the moment, with a bit of stock for clearance tests, so don't mind the old bump or ripple and an overview

Bloody hell!!! More please!!!!! -
That's been the approach to date!

Cheers will maintain the thread there too alright I'm 6 months in now, albeit a two month summer break, so I'm hoping by Christmas to have all the track actually down and functional!

Bloody fantastic Anthony! You've a magic touch! -

Of course now I'm looking at the plan, I'm contemplating cutting holes into the wall on the far left too (which opens into a storage end of the attic) which I could use to hide the curves...........
-
It will from the top of the stairs yes Plan is tunnel mouths each side so basically the mainline will pass through a tunnel - cross a scale 1km canyon - and re-emerge back into the 'real' model world
-
Plan is to have a through station bottom left up high on the mainline. Full length rakes can stop with the rearmost carriages still in the tunnel I might also devise a 2700 shuttle service to the docks Open to suggestions at the moment.... One thought is to change the light green incline for a helix...

Looking great!

Oh, and I added a small branch off the reverse loop, with a little dock I love the look of the scale scenes dockside, so two little 4 foot sidings here will let fuel oil arrive by boat Also, on the left, the cement terminal lines, will be about 1 inch lower than the running lines and through station behind, to create more of a scenic break...
-
The latest 'tweaks' Most notable are - freight and carriage sidings are swapped about - the mainline now passes through the wall and will be carried on a stout 2x6 over the stairwell - On the right hand side, there is an incline, taking a single line branch under the terminus boards where I will hopefully fit 6 15 foot storage roads - Also on the right, is a return loop, allowing trains to loop around and re-enter the terminus engine first if needed Am a bit out of ideas on the bottom left, so ignore the grey track there
