The seeps (and generally the latching type solenoids) run on DC - ie: Analog. You need a DC circuit to manage them - they don't take power from the DCC bus

Unless you run with DCC motors, then you hook them to the DCC bus, give them an address and just call them up when you need em. The throw much more slowly too, and quiet, more like the real thing.

I also have a banged up hornby 040 I use for testing - it's already carrying lots of battle wounds, and with the short wheel base its an ideal test loco

Can't go wrong for 11 quid each. A can of yellow from halfords and you've a semi decent NIR ballast rake !

No worries, all you need to do is copy the youtube link from you address bar You need the bit that looks like this if there is anything after the v=XXXX string, you can leave it out. Then just click in the Video Icon in the post, paste in the link, and the forum will embed the vid!
