  1. Absolutely fantastic!! That's what you call a proper man shed
  2. Dedication alright Great to see
  3. Cheers lads, am gone slightly back to the drawing board with the other boards at the moment, while I figure if I can cut through the wall while preserving headroom (enough) and to not be in breach of planning
  4. Smart They were 99c in the last release. Obviously inflated as they shifted well
  5. With the kids off school and the 'nice' weather, have had precious little time in the attic the last few weeks After a visit from Dartstation last week, I'm also playing with a redesign of the main loop, by taking the mainline through the partition walls either side of the stairs / access. This would allow me to keep the main loop on the level more or less, and use inclines for a fiddle yard under the terminus board...... so somewhat back to the drawing board as I much around with the options now :) More updates soon!!
  6. Wow!! American layouts are just on an entirely different scale and mindset!

  11. As well as the forum, it's possible to create articles http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/content.php Some 'masterclass' threads or articles could be very worthwhile indeed...
  12. Ouch! She must have been fairly moving!
  13. Well my 5 year old lad is already a die hard, a dab hand with the lenz throttle and already mastering coupling/uncoupling and consists ! All we need to do is all the nutters on here procreate and we're sorted :)
  14. Was thinking exactly the same thing
  15. The electro frogs are worth it tho Rich - the entire point is powered all the time, and if you make the cuts and wire power directly to the stock rails, you get impeccable running, no matter the condition of the contact at the point itself. The cobalts are a total doddle. Two wires to them for power, one wire to the frog of the point (and optional push button) and you're done. Could not be simpler, and you still have two switches on it available for signals or other uses.
  16. She's a little elusive - not that many snaps of her. Not sure what role IE have planned for her, but it's designed to take standard ISO containers.
