  1. About €178 or so inc postage
  2. Sweet deal :)
  3. Simplest is to use YouTube. From your phone, open the video and tap the little share icon. Choose publish to YouTube then enter a few details and within a few minutes it will be online. Then copy the YouTube URL and in the thread click the little movie icon, paste in the URL and the video will embed here.
  4. Looks great altho wrong era for me. Gives some ideas though

  13. Before I left I did put out a full 5 standard, buffet, egv rake behind a 201 and had room for another coach at platforms 2.3.4 and 5
  14. Will do my best tho am away from the layout for z bit! At the moment I've three rakes of green ic livery mark '4's and three of orange mkiii as well as two rakes of Lima originals and executive livery coaches. Stock hasn't really been to the forefront so far. Once the layout gets to a reasonable stage I can focus on the rolling stock, weathering, detailing etc.
  15. Rofl
  16. Yes. This thread is for bargains and specials of an Irish flavor from retailers. There is already an eBay madness thread
  17. Spotted a bargain online for an Irish railway item? Post it here!
  18. Do you have a link to these?
  19. Wow! The standards and quality of modern modeling is awe inspiring!
  20. That's my whole point Anthony. Where there is little or nothing in the difference, make the effort to support local that's all I'm saying. Anytime I've asked, a local guy will match or beat the uk prices once you factor the (high) exchange rate and postage. As we saw already in this thread Seamus is cheaper than model fair for the 201s. And that's before you ask for a discount I am sure you would prefer work and recommendations than having lads on here raving about the uk respray guys for the sake of maybe saving a fiver? The Irish modeling community is a tiny one. A small fraction the size of even a subset of the UK scene. We should where possible support the components on our community that make it work and try to sustain and grow that expertise. This forum is an effort in doing just that.
  21. Loving this series Dave!!
  22. I agree. My only point is to give them a fair run rather than the 'box shifter only' view. If they lose on price that's fine. But where they don't they should deserve our support
  23. That's not the point we are discussing. If the goal Is the cheapest possible price and ignoring the value add or commissions or expertise of local providers, then we have to be happy if they cease to exist. Then we also have to be happy when there is no one to commission Irish stock or develop new lines or attend the shows. For me it's all about value not price ( though as I've said I've never had a price issue for anything I've needed and I've spent thousands in the last year alone )
