  1. lol, Certainly will, the pilot will be shunting freight trains in and out of those platforms for pick up by engines out of the shed Good idea on the through station.... there is a little wiggle room there, though I want to avoid the trackwork in that corner getting over complicated
  2. Any feedback or obvious errors I can't see for looking at it too much? In operation, I hope to be able to run 3-4 trains on the mainlines, while in the steam depot, engines can be taken off shed and made into trains for heading to the terminus for specials, and there will be lots of shunting fun in the docks, and in preparing trains in the terminus itself...
  3. (the whitespace behind the steam depot, and in front of the through station on the high level will probably be a semi removal board, with a small town scene) Also means that the Cement Terminal from the original plan is lost somewhat, but might 'evolve' into a dockside terminal
  4. The double track from the through station junction, and the line from the steam/preservation depot, pass under the terminus board, to the fiddle yard. On the right, below the dock branch, will be the other 'end' of the fiddle yard with a reverse loop to allow trains to turn, and maybe a small country station at the low level...
  5. Latest overview incarnation
  6. Tunnel is looking good! Just as an aside - if you have a derailment inside - can you get in at it?
  7. Looks very very tasty John, I'd certainly be interested too
  8. It's 48 euro brand new at todays exchange rates, could probably go to 30 euro ?
  9. I offer 20 euro plus postage for the turntable

  15. This train is a model, that train is faaaaaar away
  16. You're absolutely flying!!!
  17. Thanks for your kind words Kirley! At the rate I'm working I doubt it will inspire much awe for a few years yet!
  18. Sorry - €149.95 would be nice
  19. Designed so full length container trains can sit in the sidings, or be shunted in the branch yes Here's the first draft for a 'whitehead inspired' preserved steam depot to go bottom left on the plan...
  20. €156 at todays rate.... Maybe the Irish shops will do them at 149.95
  21. And on the right hand side, a new Dock Branch is going in. The rear tracks will be hidden behind a scenic break in the corner, and the branch provides two long sidings, with dockside and a gantry crane at the end, which can both take a 9.5 foot train...
  22. That's just crazy !
  23. After a great chat on the design with Glenderg the other day, I went back to the drawing board with the lower half of the plan. So, here's one version of the 'new' bottom left. The junction bottom right comes off the 'stairwell viaduct' and splits the track into a high level through station and a gentle 2% incline down to the under-terminus-fiddle roads. The radius of the curve is just a little more than 6 feet, and the space between the points for trains to stop is ample for a 9 foot train.... The double line down the incline will provide a nice sweeping scenic feature too, which can sit in a cutting at the bottom near the terminus, before entering an urban tunnel under the terminus board itself. The left hand corner then provides scenic space for a small town scene, maybe the archetypal bus depot, etc (ps: the cement terminus will be re-added in front of this again, shortly
  24. Main difference is length. The dapol take 40 foot containers whereas the Irish prototypes take 45. You wouldn't really notice it tho
  25. Dapol have confirmed they had delays with their Bells but expect to have 20 and 40 foot variants on the shelves for year end.
