  1. Am sure all the NIR items Paddy has released is testament to that! Even limited edition runs of all 111 class.
  2. Great news indeed, the more variety of chips and sounds is only a good thing, especially when running several at once!
  3. I guess something that's less of an issue for Irish outline than our UK brothers - but given the scale of even both markets, it's shocking the overlaps. Competition is good, but duplication of efforts and dilution of the market makes sense for neither buyer nor seller.
  4. Hi all! I was hoping someone might have a decent resolution scan or image of a cement bubble? Thanks in advance!!
  5. Wow! That's bloody ingenious!
  6. Yep, I need to manually edit ever single entry and re-link the images, prob a few hours work there still to get it sorted! Will try find the time
  7. I guess the idea of this poll is to determine - all else being equal - (ie: the manufacturer, details, price, etc are up to snuff) - would you prepay for a model that would likely take a year to see.
  8. Will try make some time today to catch up On it!
  9. What a little cracker!! Welcome welcome!
  10. My fault, the content is an import from an earlier DB, but the forum munged up the html (yes, that is a technical term ) I need to spend a few hours going through and cleaning it all up, right as soon as I get a few hours!
  11. Bear in mind while a loco would be desirable, there are no shortage of them on the market at the moment, personally, my votes would go for - 121 - well underway by Sir Murphy, Patron Saint of Irish Modelling - A Class with all the bells and whistles - 22k 3 piece ( I know! I know!) - Cement Bubbles - Cement Bogies - Bagged Cement - 20' Flats - Beet Wagons
  12. I think a 22k would be pretty awesome Done to the Rapido standard
  13. Stunning job! Looks as good as a Murphy!
  14. http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/content.php/253-4-Wheel-Bubble-Cement-Wagon-Drawing Would certainly a very pretty little thing be
  15. The 20 foot flat would be an interesting one, being easily adapted to handle containers, bubbles and a range of modifications possible...
  16. The poll is open for 1 week
  17. I understand that the shop is still up and trading from an 'off high street' depot. I've always found Gareth excellent to deal with and only spoke to him a week or so ago. I don't see where the panic is coming from here - if you are waiting for custom work, just contact the store?
  18. Typically with a crowdfunded project, there are no 'after it's produced' units available. Like the Rapido models APT, they are building the exact amount pre-ordered. The unit will not ever be 'for sale' after production, barring someone picking up the tooling for another run?
  19. Interesting quote from that site: The bottom line is that Rapido will produce the model if we can generate 800 pledges, instead of the 1,000 DJM would have needed. Gives an indication of the commitment needed.

  21. Added now, will see about moving the posts.... http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/forumdisplay.php/58-DCC-Electrics-and-Electronics
  22. The simplest option to date would seem to be where you simply buy the loco(s) you want, in advance. Once enough have been sold, the production can commence...
  23. Good suggestion , perhaps a sub-forum or a new top level forum for DCC / Electrics?
  24. Just a reminder to please ensure you VOTE as well as give a wishlist ! Thanks!
