  1. Were there oil and molasses wagons one of the same http://eiretrains.com/Photo_Gallery/Railway%20Stations%20S/Sallins/slides/Sallins_20100811_001_CC_JA.html
  2. It brought back a lot of happy memories mate
  3. I have to agree with Stephen that's the ways to go but stay clear of hornby track use peco instead
  4. Would something like this not be a closer match
  5. I would love to drive one again Bud:rolleyes:
  6. Is that your way of saying you want to be a Dub:-bd
  7. I would go for something like that
  8. I fitted a TCS DP2X-UK to Tornado yesterday and I have to say although she is a beautiful runner I do feel that my Hornby steamers are slightly better runners at slow speed using the same decoder. They seem to be smoother but the Bachmann Tornado does have better pulling power up the inclines.
  9. It does look grey Conor but in fact its not its a combination of smoke and ash rain etc and if you were to airbrush/weathering power grey onto the roof or boiler it would not look anything like the picture. Hopefully I will get a couple of hours tomorrow to make a start at Tornado.
  10. Can anyone tell me if there is a preserved KD. If there is where could I go to see it.
  11. I was a wee bit disappointed that there wasn't a few more preserved Dublin Buses at the show
  12. Garfield you just don't realise how much work I have to do for other lads I hardly get a chance to work on my own stuff. Also I want to get the look of them just right so I'm doing a little research if you look at and American weathered loco the weathering is a different colour
  13. You mean Newry to Downpatrick mate as they would be coming form Dublin
  14. I was shocked to see this old girl sitting at the Cultra bus show I didn't know her in her new livery. On a closer look I realised she was RH175. She was one of the buses I used to drive out of Ringsend nearly 20 years ago when I worked for Dublin Bus. I just couldn't resist jumping in the drivers seat and a lot of happy memories came flooding back. I would have just loved to have fired her up and gone for a drive in her.
  15. It was a little nippy with the wind coming in of the lough
