  1. I'm like that tonight just looking at her in her box come tomorrow I will probably weather her =))
  2. Bachmann Class A1 Tornado, 2 MRSI wagons etc etc etc Tornado is that nice I don't even want to take her out of her box
  3. He wasn't there either today a bit disappointed really as I wanted to get one of his brake vans
  4. I understand the meaning behind this set and what it's target market is but its just not my cup of tea
  5. I did a lot of train spotting there in my days but you can't get access to it now as NIR have fenced it off. The other reason for the interest is my Farther tells me a lot of stories about Goraghwood and it would be nice to see pictures of this once quite busy and important but forgotten station on the Dublin/Belfast line. I will of course remind you in May and thanks for your help. I have the complete Irish Railways collection on DVD and there a few little clips of Goraghwood in them but that just wets my appetite for more info and photos on the station
  6. Paddy was telling a great story yesterday. When he was in York road looking at the 111's he was getting a sample of paint for the forthcoming model when he asked for the NIR blue the reply he got from the member of staff in the paint shop was. What shade are you after as there are no two the same its just what ever shade comes out of the tin after we mix it
  7. Brilliant book mate brilliant book. On another note I hope you would be the man to ask would you have any info or pictures of Gorawood just north of Newry. I have trawled the net but I only come up with very Limited information or photos
  8. Would it be possible for you to do like a data base of liveries on the site. If we were to suggest what locos etc we wanted over a period of time you could answer and Stephen could put them in a section that is read only. A couple that you could start of with would be say the 800 class the Sulzer and I don't know the name of the class but its Dunluce Castle in Cultra
  9. I know what you mean I'm gutted also as these were the 2 that I wanted most of all
  10. Thanks Eamonn for the heads up on this absolutely fantastic book picked up a copy at Bangor yesterday and had a great read on the sofa last night
  11. Bad news for those waiting on the 121 Paddy was telling me that it's been put on the long finger indefinitely also 209 in NIR blue and 230 Enterprise purple may not be released till next year. On the coaches front there may be a very slim chance that some mk2's may be released later in the year. Don't ask what liveries etc etc just that there may be a slim chance you guys might get some as all his efforts are been put into the 071 project and Paddy has to see what stock (locos/coaches) is left in the shops before any more releases other than the 071
  12. Rich by the end of the year you will have 6. 3 in October and 3 for Xmas. 071 in Super train/Black and silver freight/and 111 class #112 as she ran in the south these 3 are out in October.
  13. It was good to see all the lads but I was really disappointed in the show itself nothing only N gauge layouts
  14. Spot on Fran, Paddy was saying today that it will be addressed
  15. The only thing I hate after painting the track is cleaning the rails
  16. No Stephen I painted the rails then laid the ballast using isopropanol alcohol and PVA then I painted everything
  17. Stephen I used Woodland Scenics fine light grey ballast and mixed in this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Model-Railway-Ballast-chippings-OO-gauge-500g-/230776737718?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item35bb5d8fb6#ht_628wt_1270 I would advise you to go for the N/Z gauge ballast he sells as I think the OO is a little on the bid side
  18. I recently weathered these for djkonore in the States
  19. What ever I can nick of her in doors but just don't get caught.
