  1. Actually, now that I've double-checked, it's the Roco coupler that's on those coaches I mentioned above.
  2. Excellent! That's a very throaty sound for such a small engine...
  3. John, I found this interesting article about the two Baldwins written by Alex Huff, who was Vice President of Operations on the Michigan Northern when they leased out the units: http://baldwindiesels.railfan.net/mign/index.html
  4. I don't think I've seen a mark on her in any of the photos I've seen. Maybe just a little bit of weathering around the cylinders and connecting rods, a little bit around the chimney and safety valve, and some water splashes around the filler cap? That'd make her look like she'd been working hard on a railtour for the day...
  5. Sorry David - forgot about that!
  6. I picked up a couple of SNCF Inox coaches on eBay a while ago (the ones you saw on my thread) and they're fitted with Fleishmann close couplers. Never saw these up close before, but they bring the corridor connections right up against each other and 'stretch' to allow the coaches negotiate short radius curves.
  7. Cheers, John. Now that you mention it, the ELSR does ring a bell. I seem to remember seeing a photo taken just a few years ago where the photographer just happened to be passing their workshops and spotted the Shark out in the open during a switch move. Can't find it now, unfortunately.
  8. Hi David, I seem to remember you sounding out interest in an RTR/kit ammonia wagon and barrier wagon. Any developments there?
  9. Interesting... so some of them received cab rebuilds, while others didn't. At least, 168 hadn't at the time that photo was taken...
  10. Just looked at a few photos there and I don't see any blanking plates on the cab sides of any of the GMs... Highly unlikely, but could it be 082's nameplate?
  11. Ah ha. That would explain the BRM branding on the site lately!
  12. Excellent, John! Don't the D&H still have a Baldwin shark hidden away in one of their workshops? I also have a US-outline interchange yard layout in the pipline - a modified version of a plan I got from 'Shortliner' on RMWeb. Mine will be a Union Pacific/Southern Pacific facility set in the California during the 1960s-'70s.
  13. Ouch. I don't know how the guy finds time to work with all the care that site requires.
  14. Welcome aboard, JB... hope to see you soon!
  15. The smoking is a personal favourite.
  16. Looks like some of the locals have been indulging in a spot of cow-tipping, too!
  17. I've found it's been running pretty slow for the past while. Apparently they got hacked by some left wing group last week, too.
  18. Anyone know where I could find a photo of a CIÉ Leyland Octopus? Can't find one anywhere...
  19. I have two of the weathered Baby GMs in IR livery. I'm just waiting for a chance to remove it and add my own!
  20. Just started following it.
  21. www.specsavers.ie ...We cover all angles!
  22. Agreed... looks good on my iPhone.
  23. Seamus, I've posted a new thread with the tutorial and made it a 'sticky' topic, so it'll be easy to find for future reference.
