  1. Big Eck was shown the door at Aston Villa today. I reckon they'll be on the phone to Martinez soon enough...
  2. Man United fan here, too. Crazy, crazy day of football. Regardless of the outcome, I'm glad it's over and done with now, because the tension was unbearable near the end! Barton's actions come as no surprise... hopefully he'll get a nice long ban. Tevez should've seen red for his part in the incident, too. Just saw the highlights of the other games on Match Of The Day. Felt sorry for Bolton - definite foul on the keeper for Stoke's first goal, and I'm pretty sure Crouch dived to win the penalty for the second. There were some interesting events outside of the Premiership today, too. Borussia Dortmund thrashed Bayern Munich 5-2 in the DFB Pokal final, which won't do their Champions League final preparations any good, and in Serie A Inzaghi, Seedorf, Gatusso and Nesta all played their last game for AC Milan (Van Bommel is also leaving, but didn't play today). Inzaghi capped his farewell with a goal: O'Shea plays at right back for Ireland... Dunne and St. Ledger are the recognised centre half pairing. If O'Shea's out, it'll more than likely be Stephen Kelly who'll replace him, although Seamus Coleman (and hopefully not McShane) would also be called up to join the squad. I wouldn't like to see Ward lining out in central defence!
  3. I'd be interested in that, JB. Does Dave know you're volunteering him for transport duties?
  4. Nice photos, Kirley. The Carriage Gallery is looking well, and they've obviously done an excellent job on restoring the B&CDR coach. Haven't been to Downpatrick for a while... must try and visit at some point over the summer.
  5. Nice work!
  6. 071 multiple operation has definitely never occurred. Nice video, even if it does have ridiculous sound effects...
  7. Strange they didn't go for the green and yellow, as you said Fran, but it's still easily the nicest of the UP heritage liveries.
  8. Nice! Reminds me of the 'Let's Go To Birmingham' film, shot from the cab of a Blue Pullman set:
  9. Darn... I had intended to pick up two C class kits (long + short wheelbase) when they were available.
  10. Nothing for the foreseeable future...
  11. He's bidding on the photo just so he can take the weathering stick to it!
  12. Just like the real thing, eh?
  13. 071 ,141, 181, 201... the only loco class in use at the time that doesn't appear in the video are the 121s - not bad for a few hours' filming! Nice find!
  14. Great weathering job. I especially like how it looks as if it's recently been through the wash road, with the brushes scrubbing just as far as the roof edge above the windows.
  15. That looks fab! I like the adverts on it... especially the old 98fm one on the back. Just need another one with a Rock 104 ad now!
  16. Ha! I was waiting to hear a fizz and a bang, and to see smoke coming from the traction motors...
  17. Anto, I'd say that was harder to get right than a filthy 141, but you got it spot-on... excellent work!
  18. Cheers... must see if I can find it!
  19. Actually, you're spot-on. The issues I referred to above would only have occurred with 8 coaches + generator van. There was originally a full spare Enterprise coach rake, but as demand grew they plucked coaches from that set and added them to the others, meaning there was only 4(?) spares, including the DVT. The current arrangement will make it easier to rotate coaches for refurbishment when the time comes (i.e. in the not-too-distant future).
  20. I guess that might work. If it doesn't, you can just buy another Kinder Egg!
  21. You can also find Milliput in a lot of art shops. Any of those near you?
  22. The Kinder egg shells don't take glue well. You'll probably have to use superglue on it, but even then you should be careful with it as the bond won't be all that strong.
  23. I have a copy of those drawings, Dave. They were the ones IÉ used to send out on request, but in recent years they seem to send out the painting diagrams instead. The loco in the video is the off-the-shelf GL8 design... GM modified the body specifically for the CIÉ version.
  24. More a kid brother than a distant cousin with those looks... and the sound!!! Cheers for posting that!
