Nice - the scan of the images at the top is just the right speed, they're often too slooooow. You use helix's and helices for the plural of helix - helices for me.
  2. Forty shades of green, and at least two shades of emerald.
  3. A longer version of the video. [video=youtube;V-DfhAU4Jtc]
  4. May be some photo opportunities with this. https://railtoursireland.com/railcruiseandcastletour
  5. Some video here -
  6. And IE was Clare earlier & IR was Offaly, also having NIR later on.
  7. I thought it was going to be the James Bond one, with the caravan instead of a tank.
  8. Jewellery!
  9. It's not always the driver..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-36111795
  10. If it parks there regularly, we could get a few spray cans and some masking tape.....
  11. I was just about to send a PM and discovered that I had two unanswered queries from other members waiting for me - further investigation showed that notifications for new PMs was turned off - so I have turned it back on - I have no knowledge of turning this off myself, though I could easily have, I suppose - I just wonder if it maybe reset at some point and it might be worth others checking theirs. Settings - my settings - my account - general settings - private messaging - email notification of new private messages ...I think.
  12. The car came off worst. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-35998400
  13. You would need a bigger battery to heat enough water for a reasonable run on steam.
  14. This interesting system appears to be available now. https://www.protocab.com/shop#!/Bundles/c/15656058/offset=0&sort=nameAsc
  15. Well, I am outraged - I had to do some actual work to pass the time.
  16. Not even a phone number - could be an MI5 front operation.....
  17. This is a few years old. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=38287
  18. That looks like a UK mobile number, so 00 44 7742 670 023 from the Republic, I think.
  19. In preparation, dual gauge changeover track is already fitted on the Boyne Viaduct.
  20. Before they turn it over, they're doing the initial test on the 5'3" track in Victoria.
  21. I heard that they are rebuilding A39 upside down, to make work on the bogies easier, before turning it over for the first test runs - and so that the pictures of the progress will appear on here the right way up.
  22. Idiots! April Fool's Day was yesterday. This is a Leap Year.
  23. The amount of taxpayer's money thrown at the railways here, compared to the BR days, is truly staggering. I know people that work for NR and the money flows like (unmetered) water. And yet, although I live on the West coast Mail Line, I took a train here for the first time in eight years the other day - and then only to Birmingham.
  24. EU and the European Court of Human Rights are not really connected - The Court is a function of the Council of Europe, which has 47 member states, not just the 28 EU ones - almost everybody, except Belarus - even Russia, Turkey, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland.
  25. They're not quite as separate as, say, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are. I believe that IoM's Defense and Foreign Affairs are handled from Westminster. Anybody is free to secede, if they can cope with the obstructions. A large part of their 'function' now seems to be tax avoidance schemes, though that is more prevalent in the Channel Isles.
