hello kevin, as the Bos says -it is doable. i have several willies chipped and 3 sound fitted and they all run well, dont fit hornby chips as i found they make the loco shudder at slow speeds. -

i pasted them onto thin strips of hardboard then screwed the boards into position on the sides of the baseboards - no wrinkling there! -
