    well,at least Bulleid was trying to keep steam alive - that counts for something i suppose. cant for the life of me understand why she wasnt preserved:confused:

    the Mullingar- Athlone line was a beauty, but is fast becomming unworkable - even the beautiful little stations at Castletown and Moate are so bad they are cordened off and the station buildings in Mullingar on the Athlone platform are falling apart - absolute shame!

    as a matter of interest lads - was all trains stopped on that line for the duration of the works, or was a few trains let by during the day?

    just seen that this baby is available again from bachmann ...a real little belter if ever there was one! remove the decals and stick in the IE logo and bob's your uncle!!
