  1. Hi, lads. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a Station announcement CD available, modern if possible. I know i could go and record one but knowing my luck someone would keep plodding by as i was recording ! Thanks.
  2. Now that would be some depot ! I just looked up lagan construction just says basically they where awarded the contract for the site but nothing really more than that very cloak and dagger but thats how they work i suppose. If it is a stobart/tesco depot it'll be handy for ya for a bit of stobart spotting
  3. Had a bit of a nosey in work, this big site in Newry wouldn't be for a supermarket would it ? As all i could see refering to Newry is the buliding of a Tesco Extra which will be roughly twice the size of Sainsbury's. I dont know Newry well haven't been there since i was a kid when the family used to do a xmas beer run so i'm not sure of the location if it make sense to you ?
  4. This will be at the Border to meet your low loader to take over the escort
  5. Great collection Anthony, my MAN TGX is on the way from Hong Kong at the moment ! Just a bit of useless info for ya, the MAN TGX's that are available on ebay are in fact part of the Atlas Editions 30 Stobart model mail order collection, "Emma Jade" and " Karen Patrica" were first released to customers, the MAN TGX is due to customers later in the series but a few made it out the back door of the factory apparently and start appearing on ebay, they are authentic models, just not all together legit in how they are being sold:eek: Anthony this is the collection i was refering to in my other posts, its a must for any stobart collector, 30 vehicles modern and classic all 1/76 scale, everything from horseboxes to flatbeds. The Stobart Rail low loader ( not part of the atlas collection ) is widely available on ebay at the min, but the Atlas collection especially the latest releases are scarce:(( and Atlas wont let me subscribe because i'm in the Republic, miserable shower of......
  6. =))Weathering would be an absolute no no, always spotless, washed everyday. Havent heard any rumours about Newry but I have heard that the tankers are on the way. And plenty of brand new tractor units are hitting the roads lately. Yeah i've a couple of the Oxfords myself, next on the list is the Stobart Rail low loader. I tried to order the collection from Atlas Editions but the feckers wouldn't deliver to Southern Ireland
  7. Guilty as charged Working with them everyday, they've grown on me. Whatever people may think about the company good or bad you've got to admire the fleet they have. Anthony I think you'll have to do a few eddie models:banana:
  8. There is a Dublin AFS Civil Defence livery Dennis due soon, Aug I think.
  9. More to follow, just digging in a few boxes over the next day or two, sorry about the quality:(
  10. Similar story myself, a few years ago, while sitting waiting to depart on our delayed flight i saw the baggage car approach the plane. I joked to my wife " can you spot your bag " she said no but i think i can see yours sitting on top of the pile on one of the carts. And she was right there it was my brand new nike holdall perched on the top of a heavilly over loaded cart. I said i feel sorry for whoever owns the bags on the bottom as they'll be squashed like a pancake, the words where barely out of my mouth when the luggage cart driver decided to turn quite sharply, my bag fell off and was dragged under the wheels of the next cart being towed. One of the ground staff went over to it and instead of picking it up kicked it to the plane. I threw a wobbler and was told by aircrew basically to sit down shut up or i'd be taken off by airport police. I had to wait till i collected my bag the other side to inspect the damage, a nice tyre mark on the white nike swoosh and a very very strong smell of Hugo Boss aftershave from the bag where it was broken into splinters. My clothes where reeking like a lady of the nights handbag for the week I eventually saw the funny side of it..... after about two years
  11. That KD is absolutely top class the detail you have on it is nothing short of amazing, best i've ever seen, and as a bus nut as well as a train nut i've seen a fair few !
  12. They look stunning, cheers for the photos, will be collecting mine during the week
  13. A DART model would be fantastic
  14. Thanks Warbonnet. It sure is, we''ll have to start up a local club
  15. Cheers Anthony, your one of those gifted people i mentioned above, your work is absolutely top class
  16. Hi lads, not exactly new to the site but first post, quick intro, real name Jonny, in the process of buliding my first layout OO scale modern Irish scene, Dcc controlled, in my attic ! When i say in the process, i mean five years into it and i havent so much as got a baseboard down, had to do a lot of work with attic first, move tanks, beams etc while also working more than the average week, doing up our house and raising two young kids ! I try and buy the new releases as they come out but they stay boxes till i eventully get it started properly. Some of you guys on here are truly inspirational and your work is fantastic ! Why the name Grange Castle, well its very close to where i live and what my layout will eventully be called, although my nearest rail station is / wil be Kishogue, maybe i should call my layout Kishogue as its something similar, it exists in theory but will it ever be up and running, who knows
