  5. Briliant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it, love it, love it ! 10 KDs, sounds like you've too many, wanna get rid of some ? ha ha. Your right about the destination adding realisim. We mustta been near neighbours back then in the days of the 2er A.
  6. Thats a fantastic line up right there GSI I'm well jealous. 22a brings back some memories, used to go by my house years ago, and the nipper/localink at the end is sweet !! And the display on the second KD is spot on. Great collection =D I could look at them all day. Thanks for posting them up
  7. Thanks Walter great detail in some of those models, they would add realism to any scene.
  8. Thanks Brian, I started to collect the buses a few years ago but by then a few had been released so i had to do a bit of digging to get some of them. My priority has always been current Dublin Bus livery, but I normally pick up most modern Irish buses. Of the ones I dont have my top of my wish list would be, a KD, P, D, AD and MB I'm sure the list is endless that people would like. But for the moment I'm looking forward to your release
  9. Its a nice model, looks well. I've a few "Wanderers" myself. Couple of Blackpool Buses and Crossvile Buses, just to remind me of holidays when i was younger.
  10. Hi Walter, funny you should say that, I will be looking for a few Preiser bits, not just yet though But now I know who to look for when I do need them. Dont think I'm going to make tomorrows show but I should defo make the next one. Thanks, regards, Jonny
  11. Kevin :-bd Looks great, whats the wine bus ? Lothian is it, it looks at home there ! Love the pics keep them coming
  12. Still in the box the way i got it Kevin, but one of these days i will get around to it, time is an enemy at the min But on the other hand i did get a bit of work done on the attic this week, so a small bit of progress i suppose. I'm hoping after the summer hols to really get stuck into it, if i had a room ready to go i'd be flyin, just getting the attic sorted is a pain. Want to stick in a couple of velux, insulate and wire it, already had to move water tanks and floor it. Dont worry Kevin I'll post plenty of pics when its done
  13. Love it ! And the eircom van, any mores pics of it ?
  14. Ya know if someone made a run we'd probably buy the batch between us Hint Hint, Brian, Hint Hint.....
  15. Lovely collection Train Model ya can never have too many buses ! My favourite Bus Eireann models are Wrights Gemini and the Scania Izirar. I like the yard you have made I'll have to do something like that when I build my layout. Do you have any non Irish buses ? I have a couple of Blackpool buses and a couple of Trams dont know how they'll fit into my layout but they'll show up somewhere on it
  16. Its a repaint i picked up on ebay its not perfect but looks ok from a distance, if someone produced a run of imps i think i'd buy a dozen ! Loved all classes of the Imps and the cityswift " P " single deckers.
  17. Anto i dont know how ya done it, and if I remember the interior of the imps were almost covered from top to bottom in fabric which seemed to absorb the smell so even when the bus was empty it stank ! And for some reason the oldies wouldn't venture passed the first couple of seats and would huddle around the driver and luggage area even when there where empty seats further down the bus which meant gettin on and off was a struggle and they'd be giving out as if it was your fault THEY where in your way. Dont get me wrong I respect the elderly but the ones on the 83 were a different breed altogether. One time i remember the was an old dear got on in Rathmines and perched herself on the bar of the luggage area despite there being plenty of empty seats and being told twice by the driver not to, anyway coming up through Kenilworth theres a right turn followed straight away by left turn, as we went through here the old dear was de - perched from the bar and ended up in the luggage area on the floor on her back with bits of shopping rolling around the bus, after being helped out and to her feet she start screaming at the driver who hadn't so much as looked at her that he should have slowed down for the corner to which he replied instantly " If you had of put your arse on a seat like I asked you earlier you wouldnt be looking for tins of beans down the back of the bus now would you " Its probably one of those ya had to be there things but I was laughing non stop getting off that bus. If it happened now the driver would prob get the bullet and the old dear would get the euromillons as compo
  18. Anthony, I must have gotten on your bus plenty of times, I used to travel on the city imp 83 ( locally known as " The Pissy Bus " ) everyday got on at Sundrive to Camden St. Loved the ' Imp ' livery, I have manged to pick up an Imp model for my layout its not perfect but a decent effort, cant upload pic says file too large although I've upload bigger files before ?? Theres a pic here http://www.irishrailwaymodelling.com/showthread.php/490-Grange-Castle-s-Buses/page2 with some of the others.
  19. Fantastic !!!! This is great news cant wait to see this project develop. I'll be looking for at least 2 or 3 of each. Best of luck with it and again fair play for taking it on
  20. Wonder who LEAKED this story...
  21. My route too, yeah the new GTs are nicer but the novelty of the next stop announcements has quickly worn off, great for visitors but for the daily commuter its a pain especially if the bus is moving at speed along the likes of the nangor road it doesnt shut up and then it tells you to exit by centre doors that are in fact almost never used. But overall they are a nicer looking bus :-)
  22. If its THAT livery stick me down for a few ! My guess is EV or VG either would be heaven And if its is an EV, route 151 ok i know i'm pushing it now
