Would Irish Rail be interested in this?

Wonder how long before one of these finds its way to Inchicore Works? This distributor handles sales for UK and Ireland. Sales here would be limited. There would be a big "green" announcement if one did end up at Inchicore.

Don't forget the Irish made Unilok C-1000e https://www.unilok.ie/c-1000e Battery Electric Rail/Road shunter.

Unilok transferred manufacture from Germany to County Galway in the 1970s and export yard their yard shunters Worldwide.

Doesn't Portlaoise (ICR depot) have something similar? Or at least it did have when it first opened. Now that I think of it I haven't seen any images of it in a while.

There was talk of a similar small shunt loco to be acquired for use in Inchicore to replace the last of the 141's, but usually a spare 071/201 does the honours now

There is a small Zephir LOK 1400 loco in Inchicore, only there a few years. Can't remember what the power source is, might be diesel. I believe it's very much restricted in use but powerful for its size.
