IXO Models TR050 1970 DAF 2600 and an Altaya Models No. 42 trailer with CMA-CGM containers, both sourced from eBay.

As far as I can see, the IXO and Altaya trailers and containers are identical tooling-wise, everything is interchangable.

The only difference, as with Oxford vs. Atlas, is that Altaya use triangular-head screws.

Will add video later.

The second of the three Hi-Story Starlet GT Turbos, this time the white one; HS315-WH.

Have to confess that I don't remember ever seeing a white one. EP71 Turbos and Glanza Turbos, sure, but just can't place one of these.

Again, lovely detail. They go for silly money online but every now and then one comes along at a fair price.

Can let you have one of them for €100. Have a mule heading up on Tuesday who may be able to bring it up and meet you during the week. Would have to be Dublin.

Alternatively, I can post it. Got a postage price for @MOGUL last year, similar size parcel, think it was a little over €20, not fully sure.

Bought these direct from BenBenModels in China. They had them for sale for something silly like €160 or €170, so I made an offer, then we haggled, and settled on €100 each for the six.

This is their eBay store:

https://www.ebay.es/str/onelink888

They currently have KP's at €65 to €70 each.

The Scania 141 and DAF 2800 side by side.

Interesting to see the sun dropping out from the calima before disappearing beyond the horizon.

The calima is not actually cloud, but sand suspended in the air.

Lovely stuff, @Mol_PMB. No MOL 20’s hiding in the background, though?

I have done some 7mm scale containers, and I have the transfers for a MOL one, but like so many projects I haven't got around to it!

I got some 1:48 grey blanks but the shade looks more MAERSK than MOL, and the locking bars are incredibly fragile for removing and re-spraying.

And in that, you've highlighted one of the challenges with containers. The dimensions are standardised but the modelling scales aren't, so a 1:43.5 scale doesn't stack on a 1:45 scale or a 1:48 scale!

I scratchbuilt my 1:43.5 scale boxes, because there wasn't anything available in the right scale to match my desired prototypes (mid 1960s Manchester Liners).

Fortunately, for Irish 4mm scale there are some nice products available in 4mm scale. And I have found photos of both MOL containers and Manchester Liners containers on trains in Ireland so I can have a couple of my favourites. But CIE and BELL must dominate. I haven't yet got any Irish wagons capable of carrying containers so I mustn't get ahead of myself...

No words necessary.

The Editorial Salvat (some shops call them “Edicola”) O Gauge Scania 143M, snapped up from eBay a few weeks ago.

Labelled as a 142M on the box.

Product ID RGN0E807.

Drooling heavily is permitted.
