A 6-Car CAF (local NIR train) will operate on the following services on the 22nd and 23rd July 2025. Enterprise Plus and seat reservations will be unavailable.

13:50 Dublin Connolly to Belfast Grand Central due 15:58

13:50 Dublin Connolly to Belfast Grand Central due 15:58 has been delayed previously and is expected to be 20 minutes late from Poyntzpass.
This is due to flooding.

Additional Information:
Due to flooding between Drogheda and Dundalk, this service has been delayed. NIR apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to your journey.

Flooding often takes place at Grangebellew just south of Dunleer

It must be bad for flooding then!

15:50 Dublin Connolly to Belfast Grand Central due 18:00 has been delayed at Dublin Connolly and is now 60 minutes late.
This is due to flooding.

Additional Information:
Due to a delay on the previous service, this train departed Dublin +43 mins late. It is anticipated to be approx +60 mins late into Belfast due to extreme flooding between Drogheda and Dundalk. NIR would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to your journey.

The 16.50 hrs ex-Connolly Enterprise passing OBB99 bridge at Grangebellew Co Louth at 18.05 hrs, running 25 minutes late

That’s not too bad - you can still see the rails! It’s when the train leaves a bow-wave that it’s properly flooded. 

I have once been on a DMU that braved 6 inches of floodwater above the rails and left a bow wave. It was all for nothing, the track dropped further and when the driver could see the platform surface was underwater at the next station, he stopped before he got completely stranded and went back to dry land!

13:00 Belfast Grand Central to Dublin Connolly has been delayed at Belfast Grand Central and is now 20 minutes late.....Will be formed of 3 coaches (non-Enterprise train). First class not available. Catering is reduced.
