Belfast / Dublin Service Information

Due to ongoing mechanical issues,  please note the following alterations to cross border services:
 
Wednesday 18 October 2023:
  • 15:20 Dublin to Belfast will be a non-Enterprise, formed by 6-car CAF.  No 1st class, limited catering.
  • 18:05 Belfast to Dublin will be a non-Enterprise, formed by 6-car CAF.  No 1st class, limited catering.
  • 20:50 Dublin to Belfast will be a non-Enterprise, formed by 6-car CAF.  No 1st class, limited catering
 
Thursday 19 October 2023:
  • 06:50 Belfast to Dublin will be a non-Enterprise, formed by 6-car CAF.  No 1st class, limited catering.
  • 09:30 Dublin to Belfast will be a non-Enterprise, formed by 6-car CAF.  No 1st class, limited catering.

You rarely get any catering on the 3000CAF replacement sets

As far as I’m aware, your looking at a (yes) concerningly high failure rate. However I suspect the chances of getting a 22k (which isint too bad) are high but if there is a delay due to a failure is the real killer

I took an ICR to Dublin once and it was okay. Also sometimes Irish Rail use 29000s on this service (Nothing against these) but I do find them better than nothing for substitutions.

Due to flooding earlier, services are now operating through Dundalk and Drogheda. Disruption expected due to emergency speed restrictions.
 
As a result of above, the following services will operate using a non-Enterprise train. 1st Class will be unavailable and catering is limited.
 
13:20 Dublin to Belfast 
16:05 Belfast to Dublin

Due to flooding between Dundalk and Drogheda, the following services will not operate:
 
Enterprise Service - 18:20 Dublin Connolly to Lanyon Place.
Enterprise Service - 21:06 Lanyon Place to Dublin Connolly.
 
Translink apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

An update: the 2106 ex Belfast will be started from Dundalk. Bus sub from Belfast / Dundalk.

Following Belfast / Dublin trains will now be operating as non-Enterprise services today, 23/10...as such there will be no Enterprise Plus (1st Plus) and catering will be limited.
1235 & 1805 Belfast to Dublin
1520 & 2050 Dublin to Belfast

Belfast / Dublin trains will now be operating as non-Enterprise services, 24/10/2023, as such there will be no Enterprise Plus - 1st Plus and catering will be limited.
 
0650 departing Lanyon Place Train Station - Dublin Connolly. 
0930 departing Dublin Connolly - Lanyon Place Train Station.
 
1235 departing Lanyon Place Train Station - Dublin Connolly.
1520 departing Dublin Connolly - Lanyon Place Train Station.

There will be no bus substitution service in operation for the below services (no service will operate at the following times)
Saturday 28 October
• Belfast Lanyon Place to Dublin Connolly 0936 & 2106
• Dublin Connolly to Belfast Lanyon Place 1221 & 1820
 
Sunday 29 October
• Belfast Lanyon Place to Dublin Connolly 1705
• Dublin Connolly to Belfast Lanyon Place 1300

Monday 30 October
• Bus substitution services will operate from Drogheda to Dublin Connolly.
• A revised train timetable will operate between Belfast & Drogheda.
 
The following services will not operate on Monday 30 October
• Irish Rail Service 0635 Newry to Dublin
• Irish Rail Service 1721 Dublin to Newry

Lisburn Train Station - Passenger Information

Intending passengers are advised that the upper car park at Lisburn Train Station will be closed for maintenance works from 23:59 on Friday 27 October 2023 until 05:00 on Monday 30 October 2023.

Enterprise - Weekend Line Closure between Lanyon Place and Portadown - 12 November

Sunday 12 November
Bus substitution services will operate from Belfast Lanyon Place to Newry.
• Normal train services operate between Portadown and Dublin Connolly.
• Return trains from Dublin connect with bus substitution services at Newry for Belfast Lanyon Place.
 
There will be no bus substitution service in operation for the below services (no service will operate at the following times).
• Belfast Lanyon Place to Dublin Connolly 1705
• Dublin Connolly to Belfast Lanyon Place 1300
