Some NIR coaches available on the Irish Railway Models website.

Locomotives are currently like hen’s teeth and will only improve once someone produces more or new models.

For  NIR, try Silver Fox Models. Basic but solid models. Also try @WRENNEIRE here, who is a pretty good guide to what may be available second hand (thinking here of a Murphy 111), and what should be paid for it. Watch eBay too. Occasionally things pop up.

Hi, does anyone know where is the best place to find Northern Ireland Railways / Irish Rail Models? I’m looking for some in OO Gauge.

Many thanks in advance.

  • Irish Railway Models RTR (IRM here)
  • Murphy Models RTR
  • Silverfox kits

Murphy models were announced due to re-run NIR livery 071 GM locos at the end of this year. For C lass and Hunslet Silverfox kits are your only route.

Also keep a eye out for Adverts.ie,some people are selling Irish rolling stock on there

https://touch.adverts.ie/for-sale/q_Murphy+models/

currently there are few 141s,071s and coaches there

also keep a eye out for millipede,on adverts,he converts and resprays roiling stock into Irish models, not as good detail compared to Murphy models or Irish railway models but it’s a good stopgap, you can’t go wrong for the price he’s asking for

Hope this helps
