Ulster model railway club,

The show is on in Belfast this weekend, Sat/Sun.

I will be there selling card and lasercut buildings plus some wagons and road vehicles.

I had planned to attend as I was to be over for the RPSI steam on Sunday, but I returned from Austria barely able to walk, so I'm still in England.

Ta, it was either Downpatrick diesel day today or exhibition tomorrow, I chose the former, sorry to miss the exhibition, there's so few in this neck of the woods and they're handy for stocking up on modelling stuff, next time.

Think you made the right choice - Downpatrick was superb. Hopefully I can do both with the exhibition tomorrow as well.

There is a few bits of Irish models for sale, but Mark's Models was only there for the Saturday.

I see that William Redpath has got a QGT for "Portadown"? Every time I see William's great depiction of that roundhouse, I curse my inability to model - third attempt coming up this winter!

I’ve just had a walk round the People’s Park and thought that was very pleasant. I’d best get writing a generous review on Tripadvisor… the rest of the town was closed of course.

Anyway, I’m heading back to Belfast now and looking forward to seeing the model version of Portadown this afternoon.

A whistle-stop visit from me this morning. It was great to meet Alan and Kieran and see the superbly detailed ‘Stone Yard’. 

The Portadown layout was also very impressive.

I liked the continental trams layout too, with the working bicycles.

Sorry to those I missed speaking with as I rushed round - Popeye’s buildings looked excellent.

I’m heading off to Derry for this afternoon.
