snapper Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Stunning! Must dig out me own stuff.... You just have amassed a great collection to go with all your great stories. Quote
RedRich Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 That's a great collection and a great find Tom. I have great memories of it. How many folk on here were even born then. I love the shots of the WLR line. which is one I have travelled on many times. All that freight is breaking my heart. I got a bit stumped with this one for a few seconds as it is a mirror image of a ship docked at the North Quay's. Rich, Quote

josefstadt Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Absolutely brilliant! The railway then had so much more variety and interest than today's plastic version. So much more modelling potential. The photo of Portarlington had me puzzled for a while - it is back to front and should look like Quote
h gricer Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Josefstadt The Athlone Midland station photo is also back to front, the main station building is on the upside on the western side of the viaduct, it had me puzzled as its the other way round, maybe try and fix it Quote
