COMMUTER29000 Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Yesterdays RPSI Cork to Dublin Heuston service overtook 22057 between Adamstown and Kishouge stations. Here is a video of the race.. [video=youtube;Ja39DEd-Lek] Quote
Warbonnet Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Nice vid. Wish I had bought a ticket for this run but there's always next time. Can anyone tell me why a dead 071 was towed from Dublin to Cork and back? Doesn't make much sense to me. Was it just for the boasting of having 2 071s up top? Quote
gm171 kk Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 A second loco was required to shunt at Middleton and Cobh as there are no run around facilities in both these stations. I suppose they could have used the extra 201 in Cork instead but which was better from an enthusiast point of view? Quote
