Model Railway Theft

Just heard that a model rail enthusiast up Skerries way had all his Loco's and rolling stock robbed during a burglary of his home. Seems his house was targeted as only the model rail gear was taken.

Shocking news. If he could draw up a stock list and circulate like places on here I'm sure we'd keep an eye out for them being sold second hand and report to relevant authorities.

A chap in the MRSI who lives in Skerries had 3 071's taken from his shed

Shed was not locked

He lived beside some fields where there were people picking fruit/veg

Opportunist got into shed and took the locos, left the box's

One was a resprayed Grey 071, I will find out the rest this evening

That's terrible and we will all be keeping an eye out for stolen stock coming up for sale on the web etc
