Thanks More will be added in a bit, along with a vid. Edited September 30, 2013 by Dunluce Castle Quote
Dunluce Castle Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 This is the next instalment showing my NCC wartime black U2 Dunluce Castle, and, My LMS NCC brake van, which is a dapol kit heavily modified. Quote
Dunluce Castle Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 Next two are a hand crane and a Midland Railway coach, which was brought over by the LMS to help with the shortages of carriages after the Blitz. This one is shown in UTA green livery, I have another one which I have yet to build. Next is a NCC hand crane (a hornby repaint) and truck (I don't know how accurate the wagon is, but it looks good) Quote
UP6936 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I like what you have done with the crane. What colour is it under the weathering? Quote
Dunluce Castle Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 I like what you have done with the crane. What colour is it under the weathering? Crane was originally yellow, then i painted dirty black then added rust paint and smoke weathering powders for weathering. Hope This helps. Quote
Dunluce Castle Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 Hi, This will be last installment of tonight (until i make new models) and it shows my scratch built Brown Van and my converted U2 No81 Carrickfergus Castle. Hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures, as much as I did, taking them out of the showcase and giving them a good run. Any comments, advice or feedback is always appreciated, many thanks. Quote

Mike 84C Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Excellent work Nelson this is a good group to be a member of,I know little of Irish railways but have found and recieved lots of good advice. UP6936 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Helps a lot Dunluce, I have exactly the same crane laying around from years ago and I am now thinking of having a stab at replicating your effort. Quote

All I can say is, go ahead and have a go, if you don't do successful, then just try again. Many thanks Nelson Quote
Dunluce Castle Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 Lovely video! Thanks, I might do a couple more, do you think there was anything I could have done to impove it? Quote
Glenderg Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Thanks, I might do a couple more, do you think there was anything I could have done to impove it? Don't ask Bosko - his vids are masterpieces of transition techniques and slick editing! Make them longer and show us the pug at the very end! Any chance of an overall view of the layout, looks wonderful. I subbed too. Richie. Quote

Kirley Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Well done Nelson, some excellent work with the potential to hit an even higher level. Watched your work on RM Web and for someone so young to achieve such a good standard bodes well for the future. Perhaps this thread may sit better in the Workbench section as I'm sure there is more to come. Quote
