Is 071 loco number 071 the same loco as the Grey livery 071 numbered 7071 ?

It is yeah. The 7 is just part of the UIC number. 071 was one of the first to get the new grey livery

Yes, it is unfortunate that when Paddy decided to issue a grey 071 he had to duplicate the engine number due to those already used.

yeah, it was a pity that paddy couldnt have produced the model without numbers and include a sheet of decals of different ones, but its great to have that livery !

A bit of white spirit & transfers of the Loco number that you want from Studio Scale Models & your sorted!!

I think 078 and 7078 have the same problem although I presume it was painted to black/silver before getting the all over grey so unlikely to be running on the same layout, I guess?
