Dunluce Castle Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 The first word that came out of my mouth was "WOW" This is truly an amazing model with a beautifully applied livery, well done hornby, what's next hush hush?
Warbonnet Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Still awaiting my one from hattons, despite ordering it the night it was announced. No sign of her yet!

heirflick Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 (edited) Is that a Railroad model? yes it appears so... Edited September 19, 2014 by heirflick
Dunluce Castle Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 No she's the full spec model, this one came from Hattons.
Dunluce Castle Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 so has there been 2 versions released? Yes there's been the railroad (£78) and main range (£99) versions released so far, there's a number of differences between the 2 including moulded handrails and simplified livery for the railroad version, another one yet to be released is the TTS sound version (£130)
heirflick Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 ...99 quid for yours? thats an increadible price for that beauty - good luck with her!
Dunluce Castle Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 Indeed it is incredible value for money, although no cab detail or sprung buffers at that price who can complain?
Warbonnet Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 ...they know you don't deserve it Fran!!! I work hard for my money, so hard for it honey! Cant wait for mine, a 'bucket list' loco for me.
heirflick Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I work hard for my money, so hard for it honey! Cant wait for mine, a 'bucket list' loco for me. give me a shout when you bring it down for a run in Brens:)
David Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Always thought sprung buffers were totally unnecessary anyway. I'd imagine the percentage of models produced that actually put their sprung buffers to use would be under 1%! Beautiful model. Very nice price!
David Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I assume the valve gear driveshaft is static? It doesn't rotate does it?
Georgeconna Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Weathered one of these over the last week, Took of the Plasticy finish off it
