On Friday I spent the day in Dublin area, the plan was substantially changed from what I had planned due to the cancellation of Tara Mines trains but it was still an enjoyable day out. Locations visited include: - Heuston. - The Gullet. - Clondalkin / Fonthill. - Connolly - Tara Street - Pearse - Grand Canal Dock. - Dun-Laoghaire. - Bray. - Clontarf Road. - Drumcondra & Claude Road. - Ashtown. Saturday has pictures from Jervis Tram Stop and Ballykillane south of Portarlington. Sunday has pictures on the Cork Line between Templemore and Portarlington, plus the RPSI Bray Shuttles. Iarnrod Eireann moved another 6 Mark 3 carriages from Dundalk to Belfast Adalaide Depot for scrapping. The consist was 7102 + 7147 + 7166 + 7406 + 7115 + 7615 and was hauled by 228. After the Steam Rally I popped over to Athy for the delayed 1130 Westport - Waterford Timber hauled by 220 and Monastervin for MKIV services to pass each other. Over the August Bank Holiday weekend the annual Flying In Ireland Magazine & NMAI Flyin was held at Limetree Airfield, near Portarlington in Co. Laois.
