Thanks Dave. Might try and get a hi-res copy of that sometime. Looking

 

Have a look at the OSI online map viewer using some of the historic maps. Depending on the zoom level you choose different maps come up. The one below is an old track plan. Interesting how big the Guinness broad gauge goods yard was across the road (i.e. via the siding that used to run along St John's road west).

The Tramway Shed on Victoria Quay was sold to Guinness after the DUTC moved their trams to Connynghame Road Depot following their acquisition of the defunct Lucan concern.

 

Thank you very much David. As usual, a mine of useful information! And, by the way, I like the appellation ‘Young’!
