Long out of print "A Decade of Steam in the 50s" published by the RPSI in the 1970s covers the 400s from a drivers perspective, if you send me a pm with your personal e-mail I will scan the section on the 400&800 Class. Much ignored by modellers, they were the mainstay of Dublin - Cork services for many years - probably the most ignored express locomotives in Ireland! jhb171achill Posted April 24, 2015 Share Posted April 24, 2015 Some, or most, ended up in lined green in CIE days, and I think at least one might have been black (rather than grey) towards the end.
