The latest Graham Farish N gauge locomotive release has made its way to Ashburton grove- 20 172 Redmire has joined the ever increasing locomotive fleet.

The factory siding pilot 08 is busy as it shunts some vans into position for the 37 to work onwards as the oil tank/cement train has arrived on the loop.

47535 works a short Mk3 push pull set comprising of two Mk3s and a Mk2 DBSO from Edinburgh Haymarket depot to Doncaster works for attention.

Managed to get the interior lights of the MPD working again on Ashburton grove along with some others…

Here we see a Class 43 power car,a ScotRail DBSO and 40012 receive attention.

After depositing the ballast hopper wagons in the up siding locomotive 58020 “Doncaster works” has been allocated to work the Speedlink van train and is seen here coupled to the wagons on the factory siding on Ashburton grove.

A new arrival on Ashburton grove is this limited edition large logo class 50- 50049 locomotive. 
Always liked the large logo livery on the 50s.

I like the 31s too, or indeed anything in the "BR Blue" era! I witnessed the start of this in a family holiday to North Wales at a time when steam had just ended on that line, and what went past all day was 101 class railcars (THEY call them "DMU"s), class 47s on long-distance expresses to Holyhead - often loading to about 12 bogies, as far as I remember - loose-coupled goods trains and class 24 or 25s...something like that.... most trains were a mix of blue/egrey and maroon carriages..... and I had better hearing and less years on the clock.

Senior went over to Brexitland about once a year on Permanent Way Institution jaunts, and took a few pics in various parts of Britain; thus:

The Leeds-Penzance sleeper train has a brand new Mk3 and Mk1 sleeper coach in the formation tonight seen here passing through Ashburton grove.
