Too large a file to post

Just wondering lads a few times I have got too large a file when trying to upload photos.

I am not the best when it comes to the IT end of things.Any Hints?.

An easy way to get around this is to upload to a 3rd party image host (I find http://www.tinypic.com handy), who will provide a link so you can use the image here. Use the link with the tags and paste it into your post.

The photo / upload limit is 2MB per file.

 

You should be able to resize the image to under 2MB in your photo software if you save it 'for the web'

What's the optimum size for pics though? Is 800 x 600 a bit Windows 95 or is it still current? Is 1024 x 768 optimum?

1024px × 764px seems to be a current 'norm' (and is the size most smartphones / iphones take

I've adjusted the max image to 1024x768 - see if that helps?

Try accessing the forum via the ForumRunner App. Pictures initially show up as a thumbnail which you can tap on to view full screen.
