Rob Posted September 13, 2022 Author Posted September 13, 2022 Good information there- despite the obvious decrease in volumes in freight compared to before, l still think we are lucky to be able to see the action we do (071, 201, Taras, Container Liners etc) and all at such close quarters. 1 Quote

Thank you for supporting this topic, thanks to you I was able take photos of 071 with tara Edited September 13, 2022 by Lev Pavliuk 2 Quote

About 4 photo: I didn’t know that foxes live in the north wall, in the photo you can see 2, one goes down the center of the frame, the other lies on pipes near an overturned chair not far. You can also quite interestingly coincided in frame 3, you can see first class 071 locomotive and the last one. 4 1 Quote

skinner75 Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Are the pocket wagons able to handle the extended 40+5' containers, or has the extra 5' addon made them too small to take those containers? Quote

They can handle 45ft palletwide containers, but not reefers as they are slightly too wide due to the thicker/double skinned walls.. There is no 5ft add on, the Irish Rail pocket wagons were always 45ft long, and besides their design concept are not related to the UK pocket wagons(KTA/KQA/) that are 40ft only.. 1 2 Quote
