When i received mine one of the handrails had popped out but was an easily put back in place. I think the packaging of the 121 by murphy models is a great improvement when compared to the 201 or 071s but like has been mentioned already the packaging for shipping could be better.

Missed getting the ir bundle unfortunately. Got the ie bundle and might get a packed of the ir wagons on theyre own to mix in between the ie ones

Next on the weathering bench is the guinness wagons. Kept it simple by dulling down the paintwork on the cages, frame and bogies with a coat of frame dirt along the bottom to finish. Hope you enjoy. Did the 121s run double headed together or was it just with the 141s 181s?

The orange seems very bright compared to the 201 or 071 one i have.

To respray or not to respray - Keep Silver/Black or Freight Grey?

Not a fan of the silver and black myself but that being said the model you've shown looks very good weathered. -
Just light dry brushing with small amounts and cooper and browns to give the effect of bleed through rust. Then watered down railmatch frame dirt with thinners and misted the model with a few coats. The over thinning allowed the paint to run and gives the streaking effect as if washed off with rain.

Next on the weathering bench were my resently acquired weed spray wagons. Thought i had gone somewhat over board although accidentally however i did manage too find some images that show the real ones in a similar state. As always your thoughts and comments are appreciated.

I have been guilty of doing that in the past but as the skills grow and grow I find the airbrush more useful for applying varnish or doing a full repaint. Appreciate all the feed back guys thanks. More to come on this feed.
