  1. Yes, and would make for an interesting experience on small radius trackwork…..
  2. It’s being punished like Henry the Green Engine…..
  3. Very nice. This one is about 20 minutes away from me since moving house last week - popped in to see it on Wed night…..
  4. Yes, please. Bob’s models are an incredible resource for this forum, and anything that helps modellers raise their game is to be encouraged. By seeing how such locos are put together, it certainly helps those scratchbuilders who, like me, are still learning the trade !
  5. Sometimes, as Lady Macbeth says, you have to screw your courage to the sticking place…..has really paid off here: excellent result and very J H Ahern.
  6. Makes you wonder what GN tanks would have looked like in blue…..
  7. A very fine example in clockwork was built by Drew Donaldson for shunting on his system. Thankfully immortalised in print - and in a case at Cultra. At least Bob painted his the right colour unlike Drew’s CIE green! Text from Gauge O Guild archive. The article is revealing both as to Drew’s methods and his writing style.
  8. Lovely! One of my favourite Irish locos.
  9. Classic - style of layout I recall with affection from old ‘Railway Modeller’ magazines.
  10. Excellent- always thought Ballysodare would be a great model. MGW, WLW and SLNC traffic all passing through.
  11. I’ll PM you details Alan
  12. Have you tried Laurie Griffin or ScaleFactor, Alan ? They may have a pattern part. Smallbrook Studios do similar chimneys on their NG kits, and may be able to help.
  13. https://irrs.ie/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Digital-Drawings-List-22-UK.pdfYou
  14. Great stuff. Having grown up a few miles from the remains of Antrim’s NG lines, I do like the IOM as a taste of what it must have been like
  15. Hope recovery is quick! That’s a lovely live action shot of 4.
  16. With the radius I’d need for a 36.75mm gauge oval, if looking at 1930s vehicle storage facilities, you’d need a Spitfire hanger rather than a garage!
  17. Those little Austins are lovely. Just moved into a 1939 house today with an internal garage - built just for such a vehicle!
  18. Interesting. Looks like an old GN Railmotor in tow
  19. Very nice Stuart. You have managed to capture some of the signature aspects of the PG including splashers and cab profile.
  20. Time to pack up the bench for moving house - and time to reflect on 8 years of modelling here. We moved in and I brought my collection of Japanese N gauge plug and play with me. About 2016 I made a plastic O gauge kit - which wobbled on 3 wheels - and bought a few RTR locos and stock. Eventually I plucked up the courage to try a brass kit. Which I managed to snap in two by over bending it - but still made a working wagon by the end. And eventually jumped from 4’8 to 5’3. Never in a million years did I think I’d have two Sligo engines at the end of it all. Thanks for all the support thus far. Looking forward to the next adventure !
  21. I’m not surprised Mr Weaver was excited in that clip - he’s just witnessed a SPAD!! Lovely running T2 though
  22. Very nice little piece. An ideal opportunity to use unusual motive power.
  23. I’d take a punt on Portadown for 43. That’s a UTA crest on tender so post 58
  24. You’re wasting your time!
  25. ‘Egrets, I’ve had a few’…..
