I've just tried e-mailing them again. Back in June 2013 I ordered a Silver Fox 3 car push/pull set, they kept 10% deposit and said delivery was 6 to 8 months; its now 17 months later and I have had no reply to e-mail or phone calls. Ernie

I'm pretty sure it is Newbridge. on further study I think the white rectangle is on the footbridge rather than the overbridge. The slide is very dark unfortunately. Ernie

I think its possibly either Hazelhatch or Newbridge but the absence of a footbridge is a bit confusing. March 1999 Ernie

I video'd this one as well , its a bit later than the 90's. The tractor had a bit of help from a 141 in getting the tank wagons (10 of them I think) started. Ernie

I have just acquired some of the IRISH Freight shop Guinness wagons which have the 2 varieties of containers. Now all my photos from my visits in 2000 to 2006 only show the triple stack variety actually in use on wagons apart from a couple at Dundalk in October 2000. Does anyone know if the double stack type was more commonly used in the 2000 to 2006 period and were the 2 types mixed on wagons. Thanks Ernie

My son Alan produces 3D models, mainly of narrow gauge prototypes; however over the last few months he has been working on a 4mm scale 3D bubble body , to be used in conjunction with the Dapol Prestwin kit and the SSM detail etchings. I have had these locos sitting on my shelf for the last 10-12 years waiting for a layout which at my age just isn't going to materialise. They are built from North Star design kits (I think! its the kit now available from Des). Built professionally , Lurganboy is complete (although its lost its whistle somewhere) whilst the unnamed loco whilst painted needs 3 link couplings (set included). They are both in full working order and I tested them on my shunting layout today (need oiling!) 32mm gauge Prices are Sterling £500 for Lurganboy and £460 for the other. To include International Signed For postage to Eire from Haltwhistle. ERnie

Well that didn't take long, loco has been 're-patriated'. Ernie

I have had this 7mm scale kit built (I'm not sure whose kit!) for several years. Its well built etched brass but un-motorised and it is also built to the correct 7mm/ Irish gauge ratio ie about 37mm. It accordingly needs a new chassis to be useable on O gauge track. This is beyond me and rather than just have it gathering dust it would perhaps be better to move it on. Selling price £105 which would include signed for postage to the Republic from here in Northumberland. I can take Paypal. Ernie

There is a set of over 100 Claremorris views in 2003 & 2005 in my Irish Flickr Collection I particularly liked the use of the Ballina branch 071 class to shunt the Guinness wagons from the unloading siding to the headshunt, sometimes with the Cravens etc still attached. Shunting could get quite involved as bogie wagons had to be placed at the front of the set with the 4 wheelers at the rear. Ernie

Nice Try! but thanks for your efforts. The view actually looks a bit like a model diorama; several years ago I had a 7mm coarse scale model of a JT. I can't rember the name of the kit maker.
