  10. I would recommend a Hornby one rather than a Lima. does this one have the same motor as the 201 or is it a better one? i see it's in a Lima Collection box which would indicate it has one of the better late issue motors
  11. Have to agree Fran, whereas the Mk3's looked cool, especially with double InterCity logos, the Mk 2's in the same livery looked crap, nothing to look at

  15. Spent some time in them in the mid 70's We travelled from Amiens St to Dundalk and back to Gormanstown There was a perspex floor in it, as we were inspecting the track for "suspect devices" ! What we would have done had we found one, God only knows I would say the sight of a fully laden Wickham thundering down the track at a mighy 25MPH would have put the fear of God into any terrorists

  24. Noel Nice find Do you still have their box's? Never saw them in a three pack, and would love to do so if you still have them As a collector I would say leave them as they are, and try not to run them too often!!
  25. This was shown to me at the MRSI Show yesterday Missed a few hours sleep over it last night I had covered these items previously but it looks like this is the kosher packaging for the set, not the one I had thought was correct as these items have never been catalogued correctly
