  3. Before I became a serious WRENN collector I used to dabble with Hornby Dublo Hornby Dublo collapsed in 1964 . Their parent company, Meccano Ltd was taken over by Lines Brothers Lines at the time also owned Tri Ang and it was thought that having 2 competing railway product lines was not a viable option at the time So Tri Ang Hornby was formed. Wrenn was absorbed into the Lines family shortly afterwards Wrenn approached the Lines Board and asked if they could manufacture the Dublo models under the Wrenn name and permission was granted So began the Wrenn brand and indeed some of the first sets sold included some Hornby Dublo wagons and coaches but with the new Wrenn locos Wrenn loco with H/Dublo coaches Wrenn Loco with H/Dublo wagons and coaches

Hens teeth Robie MIR are no longer manufactured and its just a few sad bastards like myself that collect un-made kits that would have them There are a few small manufacturers out there making small runs of them and they turn up from time to time on eBay Check out Studio Scale Models, Irish Freight Models , D&M Models and all the other guys in the manufacturing thread on this forum

He thanked me and said he got big money for one in the past I sent him a link to MM and explained the reason why the arse had fallen out of the Lima 201's But would he listen.......

Little off topic I know but interesting none the less On page 47 I showed a very rare Jouef HDI Freight Set I am sitting at home this afternoon when another anal collector rings me Have a look at this, says he Jasus, Says I, were in trouble skipper! Its a Freight set, with the same reference number as the Irish one Jouef LYRA, made in Greece LYRA were a Greek toy manufacturing company and its very hard to find out anything about them cause its all in greek! So here it is

Bit of 21mm stuff I found Looking at this pic from Left to Right Studiolith/Exactoscale 3 ply Timber strips for sleepers in the plastic bag Top row has Exactoscale Track Gauge P4, Back to back gauge, P4 Next row has Spring Loaded Check Gauge P4 & 2 sets of 21mm axles Next row Conversion bush's to 21mm for track gauge, Loco assembly gauge & Hornblock assembly gauge Underneath these items there is a Jig Conversion Brushes set for 21mm and some 21 mm wheelsets at the bottom of the pic The cardboard tube on the right contains Studiolith/Exactoscale 85 grade bullhead rail in 50cm lengths
