  11. Inexperience on behalf of Murphy Models I think There were minimum amounts involved in producing the range of coaches and this option may have been offered by Lima rather than ordered by MM His knowledge of the Irish scene at the time was non existent and I think he just went with what was offered.
  12. Sent him a PM I was interested in the box Should read: R768 C.I.E, Diesel Loco No response to date which makes me think its in the wrong box

  22. Think this might be the one From the Hornby C.I.E. Local Goods set Welcome to the site Mike, good to have you on board.
  23. Kind of agree with you there Kirley, I was watching some coaches in the States and next thing I see a link to them on here, 2 bids were placed within an hour of the post, dont know if they were related but it got my goat up a tad! Because our members and guests are PC literate I would presume they are capable of finding their own bargains Nothing like a good trawl through the murky regions of eBay on a wet afternoon?
  24. The set was produced by Bachmann US, sold as a HO set but in fact was OO Bachmann cloned the set from PMurphy as he did not own the rights to the parts, they were repainted Bachmann standard locos and coaches They also released a range of the CIE Green coaches, again marketed as HO , all had different running numbers to the Murphy/Bachmann ones The track was called E Z Track, still a bit of it about and again it was made by Bachmann Sets came with a 110 transformer, which was removed from some sets.
