  3. Have to say I think they are pure class Best non ready to run model out there Gareths attention to detail is as bad as PMurphys Each model has some very slight differences from each other The paint job was not the worst in the world either
  4. Would also be interested if you find any unmade ones Trying to get some unmade boxed MIR kits for my collection The plan is to have them all in unmade condition with all the appropriate parts A bit sad I know but if no one does it their history will be lost forever
  5. Theres a chap called Paul Roche in Texas He bought the remainder of the JoueF stock whic included a lot of Mk 111 bits Dont see him on the new site yet Give him a shout proche@marriottdfwcc.com

  7. Declan As far as I remember MM 141/181's should be run in slowly for about an hour in each direction, and they really do benefit from this Helps everything bed in and mesh properly

  9. Garreth Only Anto could weather a wagon that says 2013 on it, It should not be out of the paint shop yet, DOH!
  10. Couple of pics from the old layout Trapdoor in closed position Underneath shot Basically just brought the power via the old telephone cable and wired it to the track on the trapdoor The small piece of timber on the left hand lip is why the trapdoor looks out of line in the first shot. Underneath of trapdoor

  12. Fran The chassis came with the kit If any do turn up I will give you a shout Give Hiddenagenda a shout, he bought a batch for the Sulzers, he might have a hawk for them?
  13. Pat Back in the day they were £27 stg These are for myself, I did not see the MIR closure coming and indeed at the time they closed I had approached them for 10 of each of the kits they produced at the time, and when I got a final price from them there was not a washer to be saved on my large order, the mane bastards! Anyway up, they do not appear that often in this condition so I reckon it might be Irish Freight Models if you want some, sorry.
  14. Another little find this afternoon Getting harder to find these little treasures The Bogie Cement pack has 4 wagons.
  15. He's grown to be a daddy and lately with his beautiful wife Paula presented us with a new gricer!
  16. My lad loves the spreadsheet where I have my collection priced The hungry bastard:mad:
  17. No, female and a housewife, also called Granny Bracken!
  18. Another few days work and nothing to see Fitted the bus wireing As I never thought the layout would be rewired, I had fixed the presses and shelving permanently so every meter under the baseboards was a long drawn out struggle, indeed most of the screws had slot heads! Found this building while looking through some stuff Does it look Irish enough?
  19. Hi, welcome to the site These items are still available from most of the hobby shops here So if you are looking to sell them you will need think at selling below cost price Remember that they are now secondhand and by buying new from a retailer the items are covered by warranty Most secondhand models are just covered by the 100 yard guarantee! What are you raising the money for? More train related stuff? Part exchange is offered by some retailers but again they can not give you any more than cost price to them and probably a bit lower that that, so expect about 60% of retail in these situations
  20. Tom Some lovely stock there Can you post individual pics when you get a chance? Maybe prices as well? Keep up the good work.
  21. Malahide Station looks the dogs smelly bits Richie I need one urgently! Planing on doing a small Irish station when I revamp the layout Worked in Mala Mala for 30 years so I reckon it would be a great station to model Would you have a go at the signal box as well? I see Dublin 1 as your location Would love to drop over sometime and check out your bits, as the priest said to the alter boy.................
