    Dont see a re tooling of the babys. Cost involved, and the amount that would have to be made just to wash its face would be huge Costs in China are on the up & up, add in transport and you will be looking at a €300 loco MM still owns the original tooling, which I think is excellent, so maybe approach him with your confirmation money and see what happens For a €150000 investment you would only need to sell 500 to get your money back!

    Many years ago in my Wrenn days I approached an insurance company to see about insuring my bits as it was crawling slowly towards 6 figures They told me I would have to insure it similar to a work of art, a 15% premium on the value Had to pass on their offer

    I still check out Toy Auctions in the UK, you never know what might turn up However 2 that I often check have really torn the arse out of it Duggleby Stephenson in York are charging 31.2% on the hammer and Anderson & Garland in Newcastle are charging 33.6% With postage and Brexit tax this will double the price of most items Where will it end?

    IF there was a second coming I presume the locos would have different numbers, so I reckon there would be some interest but judging by new Hornby & Bachmann prices you could expect to be shelling out anything from €250 - €300 a pop.

    Troops As most of you know I am a collector and as such I try to have 2 of every model produced in mint boxed condition But I also run trains and would have another 4 - 6 of each of the various models (with sound) to run on both my own and the Club layout Best of both worlds Each to their own I say
