There are 4 issues here to the best of my knowledge: The Fry Collection which was built by Cyril Fry The Malahide Castle Fry layout, on which no Fry models ran, all built by various craftsmen The Casino Fry collection, which are all of Frys models displayed in beautiful cabinets The OO gauge layout in the Casino which has nothing to do with Fry

To the best of my knowledge only the Mk 3 coaches were boxed in Made in Ireland box's Have never seen a Mk 2? in a seperate box To be totally convinced it would have to be in a sealed box, Jouef shrunk wrapped all their individually boxed items so that would be the acid test for me. The darker ones are Made in Ireland, lighter ones Made in France Some boxes overlabelled, some printed Made in Ireland

"There again, I guess we must remember that much of the Fry collection was cheque book modelling too. ???" Dont know where you got that idea man, all of Frys models were hand built. I heard stories of white metal being melted in pots while the spuds were on the cooker And Mrs Fry cast most of the wheels

A bit of culture to this heathen site Who remembers Thomas Hood: I remember, I remember, The house where I was born, The little window where the sun Came peeping in at morn; He never came a wink too soon, Nor brought too long a day, But now, I often wish the night Had borne my breath away! I remember, I remember, The roses, red and white, The vi’lets, and the lily-cups, Those flowers made of light! The lilacs where the robin built, And where my brother set The laburnum on his birthday,— The tree is living yet! I remember, I remember, Where I was used to swing, And thought the air must rush as fresh To swallows on the wing; My spirit flew in feathers then, That is so heavy now, And summer pools could hardly cool The fever on my brow! I remember, I remember, The fir trees dark and high; I used to think their slender tops Were close against the sky: It was a childish ignorance, But now ’tis little joy To know I’m farther off from heav’n Than when I was a boy. And I can hardly remember me name now!

JB The BAT and the all the 4 wheel container wagons are McGowan models, there are still a few kits knocking around I helped clear out Ciaran McGowans home some years back and the workshop still had loads of kit parts for the BAT among many other bits Never dawned on me to take any pics, DOH! Any visitors to the shop will remember this:

Very unusual Ian, never had any trouble with them unless it has been installed incorrectly Where are you based? I have some spare blanking plates that you could try Or can you stick the blanking plate in another loco to see if it is OK?
