  1. Hung a few over the weekend as well
  2. I was trawling through Wikipedia while eating my porridge this morning Although originally fitted with an EMD 8-567CR engine of 960 horsepower (720 kW), all were later fitted with 645 type "power packs" (piston & liner assemblies) for parts standardisation, while at the same time keeping their original power output for reliability reasons. Numbers 126-129 were later rebuilt with an EMD 8-645E engine of 1,100 horsepower (820 kW); as used in the 181 Class locomotives. All but three (121, 125, and 135) were fitted with Train Door Control equipment for operation with the Inchicore-built, BR Mark 3 based, Push-Pull train units. The push-pull equipment of locomotive 132 was subsequently decommissioned. Entering service in 1989, these trains, consisting of a single 121 Class and up to six carriages, were mainly used on the Dublin northern suburban passenger railway service. Now I know PM is having a sound chip made for these locos and that he is thinking of different chips for the 2 different engine sizes The EMD 8-645E was also used in the 181's So I reckon we will have a factory made chip for the 181's when the 121's come on stream I presume that there would be no reason why they could not be produced before the locos come on stream? Happy days
  3. Theres VAT involved in the cost but I imagine he gets around 17% of the hammer He also collects the same fee from the seller!!!
  4. Dont know who bought it but they paid €680 (€816 after costs)
  5. First time capriciousness was used in anger on the forum K Capricious is an adjective to describe a person or thing that's impulsive and unpredictable, like a bride who suddenly leaves her groom standing at the wedding altar. You can criticize a fickle-minded person as capricious, but it could just as well describe quickly changing weather, as in "capricious spring storms."
  6. Spent half an hour on this one Some white lettering coming through

  12. It made €320 (€384 after commission) It wasn't a brass one though, B, not to worried about Imgur, just dumping everything in the same album I did what you said previously but adding pics to the new album was impossible for me so I will leave things as they are.
  13. I did that but only 1 album is showing and its not the one I want Anyway I can just dump them all in the one place and select what I want

  21. As I have said on many occasions I think Honours English should be a prerequisite for membership of the forum
  22. Bit expensive I think Did some pricing based on what these items have made over the last 6 months and I reckon there is about €1200 worth there 4 Lima 201's? Very hard sell I think as are the 2 Lima Class 33's The freight liveried 071 is possibly the slowest seller in the class The 2 Lima coach sets are OK and usually sell well as does the Supertrain 141 The CIE Steam set is also a slow seller, usually pitched at the €250 - .€300 mark but can sometimes be picked up for around €200 Bus's are not my thing but I reckon they would sell well Best thing about the 2 wagons is the display case.
  23. GNR I think. I will be having a good punt on this Anyone going to the auction,? I hope to travel down
  24. Sorry K, mine are "resting" on a shelf These are not mine. Borrowed for the photo shoot!
  25. The box contents, I love the way the wagons have been repaired and the different shades of paint used to cover the repairs and also the fact that the running numbers and wagon logos are not all in the same place, real eye for detail there men! Contents of Set #1 Wagons # 24122, 24127 & 24132 Contents of Set #2 Wagons # 24133, 24138 & 24141 And set #3 Wagons # 24142, 24253 & 24254
